I'd emailed the guy about it because it sounded like the bike that tried to kill me in '08. It wasn't. Wrong VIN. But it looks like a stock, 2100 mile 08 1125R that was a race team backup bike, so no title. Frederick, MD, craigslist. Do a search for "Buell" in the for sale section, it'll pop up. Since it's not "the one" and I don't need another 1125...I figured I'd post about it here in case anyone's looking. | ||

Hahahaha, that bike has been shuffled around the Mid Atlantic area for about 2 years now. | ||

For a race bike do you think what he has for sale is worth it? I may text him as his advert specifies. I couldn't figure out if he still has it in the original condition he received it or if he has completely dismantled it. I assume the original frame is okay though scratched. | ||

My take on it is, he bought a replacement frame (with VIN and title) in order to put it on the road. And...I don't think it was ever raced. It was dropped on a demo ride, transferred to the race team, and kept as a (stock) backup bike. For 2100 miles? Yeah, I bet its worth it. | ||

If you do text with him (he's a nice guy) tell him Joe sent you. When I told him I wasn't interested since it wasn't a bike from my past, I said I'd be sure to put the word out for him to try and help out. | ||

The pics on the craigslist add are the same ones he sent me back in January when it was sitting at a HD dealer in NC. The frame looks in good shape, I think he was trying to make it street legal with the frame swap and he has all the stuff to make it street legal. | ||
