Please read this entire post to be sure you know what you're getting. I had this pipe listed before, but noticed a weld opening up so I sent it back to Kevin to get repaired. I assumed he would fix the weld and repaint, but instead he completely refurbished the entire pipe. Fixed the weld, repainted everything, refinished all of the brushed stainless, repacked it with 3 layers of stainless packing that never wears out, and even put in a nice button head screw for my home made quiet insert. When I got the pipe back, it looked as good as new and I gave serious thought to keeping it. But my tinnitus likes the stocker better, and I nearly fell through my roof the other day because parts of the decking are starting to rot, so I'm a bit tight on cash right now. I just can't keep it. I feel like a total ass for selling this after all the work Kevin put in it, but my hand is being forced. Aside from the hardware, whoever gets this pipe is essentially getting a brand new, never installed 1125 Drummer - and we all know Kevin's reputation as a craftsman, this thing is a work of art. The quiet insert does take the edge off of the sound some, but it is still a loud (though great sounding) pipe. The mounting screw is totally hidden with installed on the bike but plenty easy to get to. These are $1015 brand new with shipping. I'm going to list this one at $900 shipped in the continental U.S., but I will entertain any reasonable offer as I don't really know what it's worth. You'll be saving over $100 from new and no wait time for it to be built. I will ship overseas, but we'll need to work out the extra freight charges.

Pretty...but for that much coin I am saving more and buying an FMF/Termi/Erik Buell Racing full system. What happened? Keda undercut Drummer. That's what happened. |

I don't mean to turn this classified ad into a discussion, but here is my thoughts. The bike is no longer in production, there are no more new bikes being sold. Most people that have an 1125 and want a different exhaust already have one, so there isn't going to be a huge market for pipes anymore. Bikes will change hands, people will change their minds on their exhaust choice (like you have), so there still will be people buying and selling them, just not as many as before. That said, the Drummer is a fantastic and well built pipe, I've been toying with the idea of swapping one on my CR in place of the KEDA, but at the moment I just financially can't do it. Your price is fair, but if you knocked off a few dollars it might be easier to sell. |

Exactly what Froggy said. I am shopping for a pipe, but I am having trouble justifying $600 for a Keda when I can get something else for $400. No way in heck I could justify $900 for a used pipe that is essentially the same as a brand new $600 one and functionally equivalent to a $400 one. Good luck. That pipe is very nice and once you find the RIGHT guy who can ONLY live with a black Drummer, you will be in business. It just might take a while. Be patient. ac |

I'll entertain any reasonable offers. I'm not going to give it away, but I know it's only worth what someone is willing to pay for it. I had considerably higher offers for this pipe before it was all fixed up compared to now. |
