I dropped my GPS unit and need to replace it. I contacted Garmin Germany but they don´t carry parts any longer. Maybe a stateside dealer has one and would be happy to get rid of it for a decent price. I know, GR Harley sold one a while ago on ebay. Any kind of hint/ help is appreciated.

What parts do you need? If its just outer case stuff, you might be able to use a US-spec Quest or QII case...the only difference between the I and II was the processing, but the cases are identical.

Sory for the late reply, but I was fighting the flue. I would need the case (front and back) and the antenna. Do you have these?

I don't, sorry. Just thought if you were looking for "universal" parts, you might be able to broaden your search...

When I had my quest apart, it's had a lot of glue on the inside, so I don't think it's coming apart easy... though maybe I just didn't dig far enough.

Is the case really damaged? As for the antenna, breaking is par for the course. Just get an external antenna for $15 on ebay, it will get much better reception anyway.

Makes the Quest less useful for handheld use, and makes it more of a hassle to put on and take off the bike... but it's an old GPS so I typically just leave it on the bike unless its going to sit out over night in a bad neighborhood.

I had mine apart a while back so I could paint it black, and the case halves were just O-ring-gasketed...been living on the bike (well, "a" bike - got cradles on the Uly, S2, S1W and CR) for about four years now, rain or shine, no water issues.

Ya can't kill an Atari! : )

@ Fasted,
where did you send it? do you have the address or contact information? Please let me know.Thank's in advance.
I contacted Garmin in Germany and the UK, but they could not help me. If I can't find a decent solution soon, I will bite the bullet and get a ZÜMO 220 or ZÜMO 660.

Thank you very much. I will contact Garmin to see if they can replace mine with a European version. This might be a problem and to install European maps to a US version is nearly impossible. But I received a bonus pay today and might as well buy a ZÜMO 660 right away.

Well if your Quest is trash-bound...let me know. I collect spare parts, and my M2L doesn't have a cradle yet : )

Good luck getting a fix, though. It's a damned good unit.
