Okay, I said I'd give Badweb first crack at it, so here it is. I'm just gonna copy/paste the ad I've written up for Craigslist. I need $4995 firm to part with it... I know that's kinda' high based on what I'm seeing here, but I just can't afford to sell it for less. And if you don't believe me about the hot-rodding, do some searches around Badweb to confirm that I am indeed a world-class wuss. ___________________________ 2006 Buell XB12Ss 21,750 miles $4995 FIRM If you're looking for a good, solid bike with a buttload of torque and little required maintenance, this is it! I'm the only owner, bought it brand new in December of 2005. Rarely hot-rodded, never even lifted the front wheel (hard to believe, I know, but I'm like the anti-stunter, too old for that nonsense!). Zero mechanical issues, runs great, very clean with lots of additions. Never wrecked, only dropped while parked twice, and bumped over one time by a little old man in a Civic (every scuffed part was REPLACED by the shop, not just repainted).Currently has small scuff on right hand sliders from the 2nd drop in my driveway. Engine setup is all stock except for the common crank case breather hose reroute (factory airbox and exhaust servo are still installed, for those familiar with the brand). Buell XB's are air-and-oil cooled with hydraulically actuated valves, so it'll never need a valve adjustment, and the drive train uses a belt with idler pulley that also never needs adjusting. XB models don't require catalytic converters either, so nothing to clog up the exhaust. Change the fluids, change the tires, reset the throttle position sensor every once in awhile, and you'll be good to go! Features include: ~custom Buell M2 single headlight conversion with flanking auxiliary lights wired to their own toggle ~translucent smoke-tint airbox cover with cold air inlet louvers and color-matched inner airbox ~custom LED turn signals with added running lights ~Aprilia Tuono mirrors (2006 model) ~reflective retro racing stripes ~crank case breather hose "catch can" ~lots of aftermarket goodies like Dark Horse Moto axle and bar-end sliders, Crossroads exhaust manifold heat shield, Magnacore spark plug wires, LSL billet rider pegs, and auxiliary LED brake lights with flash modulator If the single headlight isn't your thing, I'm including the box of parts that will restore the bike to it's complete original state, and a few extra fasteners I'll have no use for. I'll even throw in a set of "Sunset Orange" body panels that match the wheels so you can swap the color back and forth if the mood strikes (panels change out in a mere 10 minutes), and a small black tail bag with rain cover. Also included is the factory under-seat tool kit, original instruction manual, the official shop repair manual, and the official parts catalog with exploded-view diagrams. AND I'll even throw in the USB cable and software that allows you to plug into the ECM for TPS resets, custom tuning, and trouble code reading. You'll have everything you'll ever need for doing your own servicing (minus the wrenches, of course). This bike has been an absolute blast, and I hate to see it go, but I'm looking into getting a bike better suited for passengers, and I need $$$ to put towards the new purchase. IMPORTANT! I will NOT allow demo rides! I don't care if you're a world class racer and an MSF course instructor, I'm simply NOT turning you loose on my bike. I'll be happy to demonstrate it for you so that you can see it's in perfect working order, but no rides until it's yours. AND, before you ask: ·NO I will not ship the bike ·NO I will not accept checks of any sort, money orders, gold nuggets, cookies, or IOUs. ·NO I’m not interested in trading. Show up in person with cash in hand, and we’ll talk. Anything else, and I’ll just assume you’re a scammer. Sorry, but that’s the way it works nowadays. Send PM's! ~SM (Message edited by Swordsman on February 09, 2011) |
