Make and Model: 2006 Firebolt XB12R Color: Red Condition: 8 (on a scale of 1-10) Mileage: 30k miles Location: Orange County, California Price: $3,000 Includes: Factory Service Manual, Original Owner's Manual, 2 Keys Contact Info: rogue_biker@cox.net (949) 294-8748 I am the original owner. I am selling the bike because I just got an '08 1125R and also have a VFR800. I don't have time to ride 3 bikes, nor the garage space! Bought the bike new at San Diego Buell. The bike has been meticulously maintained using H-D Transmission oil, Buell oil filter and air filter (washable), and spark plugs every 4k miles. It now uses Synthetic oil. This bike lived indoors inside a garage all its life. It was washed and waxed almost every week or whenever it got dirty. The finish will reflect that. The engine is clean enough to eat from! The wheels has a few scratches on it from rocks and some heavy handed H-D service monkeys! Nothing major. The bike has the following mods: Zero Gravity ST dark smoke screen (still have the stock screen. Lightning rider footpegs (1-inch lower; still have the stock Firebolt rider footpegs) Helibars Aluminum one piece Triple Clamp that raised the bars and moved them back one inch (still have the OEM triple clamps) '07-'10 Buell Open Airbox for smoother power. Ram Mount for Radar Detector/GPS Radar Detector Wiring (for Escort Detector) Wired for SAE power to charge the battery or run an air pump. Wired for Tourmaster Heated gear. The ergonomics on the bike makes it very comfortable for long distance riding (riding position more comfortable than a VFR). The bike has no known issues. I would not hesitate to take this bike on a cross country road trip. It still runs like new. It does NOT burn or leak any oil. Does not smoke. It starts right up every morning even on the coldest days and even after sitting for weeks. It idles smoothly, revs smoothly, and shifts smoothly. If you are looking for a fun bike that is very cheap to buy and ride around, look no further. This one just got new tires (less than 1k miles on Bridgestone BT016's). It has a new Battery (Sears Die Hard Gold). It has new EBC brake pads front and rear. It has a new front rotor (OEM) and does not pulse under braking. It is not throwing any codes. You put gas in it, and ride it. That's it! Cheap to buy, cheap to insure, cheap to maintain. Looking for a cheap 2nd bike, a commuter, a run around bike, this is it! All that and it is super clean, cleaner than some newer bikes with less mileage!

I'm not sure how, to be perfectly honest. Any suggestions? Professional shipping is the only practical option. |

Okay I looked it up. Shipping a Firebolt to British C. from SoCal is going to cost $1,100! Ouch! |

Clean Bike, I would buy it for sure if I had the cash. And I live just minutes away. Whats that other tail light I see peeking out in the background? |

The "tailight" is my 2001 VFR800. It's gone now and replaced with an '07 VFR. The XB12R is still sitting in my garage on a stand waiting for its new owner. I rode her to work the other day after a month of sitting and she started right up and ran like a champ. If I had the room I would keep her because she is a great ride. Very refined even when compared to my 1125R. Best part is, the XB12R is so damn simple to maintain and keep running right. She's just waiting....... |

If this bike is an 8 on a scale of 1-10 what does a 9 or 10 look like? Mermark it looks like you have bought a fine bike. |

Would it be too much trouble to ask for a pic of this top triple on the bike? I have an 06 Firebolt and was loosely considering doing something like this and turning it more into a VFR.... |

Yup. That's exactly the triple clamp except the one on Mermark's '06 is silver. It's made by Helibars. That and the Lightning footpegs made the bike more comfy than a VFR! Mark, glad you are really happy. I'm happy for the bike as well. She has been good to me. |

I believe it's been discontinued. Call American Sportbike to see if Al Lighton has any left over. It didn't sell very well because it was expensive. It's expensive because it was of very high quality (better than OEM) and machined from a single block of aluminum. Those are simply never cheap. |
