Hello. Someone is trying to sell a bike or to rip people off by using a photo of my Cyclone http://www.ksl.com/index.php?nid=218&ad=13789216&c at=&lpid=&search=buell The picture has been taken in front of my garage in Essen. My bike is still standing in my garage in Germany and I´ve no intentions to sell it. Btw.3000$ would be a joke. Ralph (Message edited by Xldevil on December 31, 2010) |

Plus the rear tail and seat don't look correct for a 2002 M2 (and it looks like an M2L to me). |

that would be an expensive call for Xldevil to make from Germany but Jackelfox should call or have his friend call for sure. and from Xldevil's profile the tail seems to be from an s1 |

What if the sale is legit, and this guys bike looks the same as the one in the picture? Perhaps he lacks a camera to put photos online. Not an excuse, but it is a possibility. |

Yeah, I can see both sides of the debate. The one thing that makes me think it might be legit, unless they can manipulate it, is that the sellers account is 1228 days old. But it's bad form using someone else's picture. If you don't have a pic just say so. |

your right, it is POSSIABLE that he built the exact same bike in the use that was also built in germany, but if i was a betting man id say its probably not his bike. a good friend of mine found HIS gsxr 1000 for sale online a couple years ago even though it was still sitting in his garage not for sale at the time. i know i know, they all look the same... lol but it was his house, his garage, and his dog in the back ground... he called the guy and started talking to him, asking questions and such. then mentioned that he recognized the house from the pic... because it was his... guy hung up and the add disappeared |

The description is so vague and generalized, Im sure this person has done this before with other bikes. Best he is reported or stopped. |

So I advised XLDevil about this listing. It was still active last night, I have not checked on it tonight. Myself and another officer have emailed the individual using the link on the ad and have received no response. I will call the number this weekend and see if I can get some info from the seller. I can't decide if I think the guy is scamming, or just not techno savvy and lifted Ralph's pic from the internet since it's a cool looking bike. One thing that also leads me to believe that is I have seen a gray and orange M2 in the Provo area. Anyway I noted the stock bodywork on that bike at the time, it had a bad sounding pipe, modded stock or something. So anyway... I'll look into it further. |

Well I'm not sure how you could get scammed by the ad unless you had him ship it or something....which would be dumb to do sight unseen. If he has the bike, and has the title when you show up... |
