Well my 99 X1 shock finally took a crap and lost all it's damping. Really don't have $800 to shell out for a race unit right now. Eye to eye is 16.5". Would consider anything that doesn't leak and operates well, not sure if S3 ones work and just a bit stiffer? Any help or advice is appreciated |

Dean, with the long shock you may qualify for the recall part from the dealership, might want to call with your VIN and see if they can help. I've got a spare shock I don't need, but it's the 14.5" so I can't help unless you can locate a new front mount (but if the dealer will help you, you'll get a new front mount and the short shock free of charge). PM me if I can help you. |

I have one recall kit 94018Y left on the shelf at the shop. It's the kit intended for S2/S3 and is stiffer. It's a 14.8" shock with ALL mounting hardware. 250 plus shipping. Mention BadWeB, especially if I don't talk to you. If you talk to James, he's my boss, Parts manager. High Country H-D/Buell 303-833-6777 Zack (Message edited by zac4mac on November 07, 2010) |
