I've got a line on a 1997 S3 rolling chassis with title, complete minus engine and carb (was a chopper donor). Bodywork is custom and needs to be repainted. Frame and wheels are gray. Bike has Brembo brakes, and everything else is there (harness, gauges, controls, shock/forks, belt, engine mounts etc). I intend to get this and put parts up here for Buellers that need them and maybe get a few extra bucks towards a custom Baldwin seat. Update on the S3 chassis- went to pick it up today, but the seller did not have a title that I could transfer (signed, but not notarized), so I did not pick it up today. I'll get it mid next week and start parting it out. Forks/trees are spoken for, and I've got a request for the frame, please let me know what you'd like and I'll set them aside. PM what you'd like and we can discuss a price. Again, want to help guys out who need some parts. Bike is finally in my hands, after a bit of a run-around. Turns out she's and S3T- without bags and brackets. I do have the title for the bike, but it is not notarized by the owner who held the title. Frame is still available. I've been shooting emails and pictures out to those whom have spoken up about parts- I've got most of the bike apart, but still need to pull of the rear wheel, swing arm, rear brake etc and will get that done tomorrow. Updated list of parts still available is below, and there may be additions if some folks do not want the parts they've held. On a side note- I found a nuke blue 2001 X1 frame with kickstand and engine mount today- anyone need one? (Message edited by awprior on July 08, 2010) | ||

I've got a few emails out on the bodywork, forks and swingarm, some of those parts may be available in the next day or so. As I mentioned, the bodywork all needs to be repainted, it's got a goofy rootbeer colored clear shot over the original orange. The fairing and mount are straight with no cracks or dings, the tank's new paint is bubbling, but doesn't have any rash or scrapes. The tail section has a few spots that were fixed and and one in the back that needs repaired. Forks are in great shape. More parts... Belt- good condition, shows no noticible wear, no cracks- good spare $30  Handlebars- good condition and straight. These have a 6" rise, so I believe these are the stock S3 bars, according to what I was able to find on Badweb $30  Switches and throttle assembly with cables $40  Speedo sensor, mechanical $20  Forks, fairing mount and bodywork will be going back up for sale later today if I don't hear back from the guys who wanted them held. For those that bought parts, packages went out this morning. A few more parts people called 'dibs' on and have not responded to my emails in the last 3 or 4 days, so they are back up for sale: Tank: paint is bubbled and is the same ugly color as above, but otherwise good shape $75/OBO  Ignition switch with key $50  Forks are available, again. Please note, these are the standard forks that are 28.5" from the centerline of the axle to the top of the fork tube. They include the trees and handlebar clamp. I can ship parts until Saturday, again on the 23rd and will be gone again until Aug 2nd.
