I have an icon metal god jacket for sale. Only 100 of these jackets were made worldwide. This is 34 of 100. The size is xl. Watch the review on YouTube by sportbiketrackgear for more info. Or rideicon.com http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uEh6BaahDVU&sns=em retail was $1200 and they sold out instantly. Only about 40 in the USA. $1700 if it is not your style ok don't buy it it's a really cool jacket. I just decided I needed other things more than this jacket (Message edited by Hdwrenchtx on March 28, 2010) |

Needs more skulls to satisfy my metrosexual needs in a jacket. Maybe I can just attach a bunch more oversized price tags so that people know it's expensive...what do you think? |

so this is supposedly a gaudy piece of "art" that has already gone up half a grand in price from it's initial release less then a month ago... hmm... maybe you should hold on to it longer Hd, with a return on investment like that, why cash out now? Plus come halloween, you will know what to wear, unless of course you have the batman gear... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y7XVsb4jVhg |

Anyone wonder why Nike gets $250 for a pair of tennis shoes? The pack mentality is VERY strong with alotta people. And the desire to lead the pack, by whatever means necessary, is apparently about $1200-worth-of-strong. Some squid goes in to buy a bike. They're already financing 14K out over 6 years, who cares about another 1,200 dollars. Forget the fact that they'll pay 2K for the jacket by the time they pay it off, and that it'll be trashed in the road next to their GSXR Thousand 3 months later.... Who Cares? At least they got to bang that Hooters waitress. |

I see them for sale for a lot cheaper than $1600. I don't understand why someone would pay that kind of money for that jacket, I was'nt that impressed with it. I guess thats why I won't buy one but you do what you want with your $$$. |

you can bang the hooter girl by tipping double your bill, then you won't have to wear any embarrassing clothing by which you could be recognized

I think it would be neat if while wearing this jacket you could walk into any hooters and bang the waitress of your choice. Then I admit $1700 would be a bargain!!! |

all you need to bang a hooters girl is a gram of powder and a reputation of having money. I worked there as a cook for three years.. haha I only bagged five while i was there, didnt need all the extras to succeed because i had an inside advantage Justun |

My apologies for being a dick. I see someone selling a $1700 jacket that just came out, and I get defensive. I assumed you were someone that just bought that, and tried to resell it at a higher price like a scalper, or the guys that sell $5000 Wiis and Tickle-Me Elmos on ebay. There may still be a new one for sale, but it seems like your post landed the second the last one went off the shelf at MSRP. So, I assumed you were another one of those scavengers that like to use supply and demand to exploit others for profit. Good luck with the sale. I'll be quiet. (unless it is proven to guarantee hooters girls, then I'll be back to purchase) |

What's the problem with using supply and demand and making a profit? Every business in the world that makes money does the same thing. I personally would not spend $1700 or even $1200 on that jacket, but someone probably will so I will just move along to the next post and not give it another thought. If the jacket is now worth more than the original MSRP why should be sell it for less than its worth? Isn't the value of an item what someone is willing to pay for it? It works both ways you know. I just sold two new high-flow catalytic converters for a car I already sold. I got $90 even though I paid about $300 for them. No one else wants them so I have to take a big loss. Can I tell the buyer that he has to pay me MSRP because that's what I paid? No. So why can't I sell things at a profit when their value has gone up? |
