No grooves just rub marks from the grass. It would make a great trackbike piece or for a custom paint job. I didn't think it looked that bad . I wasn't even going to replace it. I needed a trunk and there was a whole rear tail section off a Cr for sale on eBay I bought. There will be a stock rear brake light assembally for sale too.
