I've got two extra wheels for my former XB12R race bike that I'd like to sell. The rear wheel is in good shape other than some dings that don't affect mounting, just cosmetic. Color is the stock red from the 2007 model XB12R. The front wheel I have is amber, and it has a lip issue. Some have told me that they could repair it with a hammer, or I know there's a good guy out in North Carolina, Will's Rim Repair, I believe, that can usually do them up pretty cheap. I'd like $170 for the rear and $20 for the front plus any shipping and PayPal fees. I have a rear rotor and a cryogenically treated stock front rotor that I'll post up later too if anyone would need them. I'm located outside Milwaukee. I'll work on some pictures... |

Can I get in line first? But I'd like pictures of the damage before I commit. Does the front wheel run true so that the dent is not a problem, or did it tweak the rest of the rim too? Color is not an issue because I would send them for powder coat. Whacking a cast rim with a hammer is generally not a good idea. |

Hi, Greg! You're first. Agreed, I personally don't like the idea of whacking them. Sure, I'm betting it can be done in a pinch, but the front was going to be a spare race wheel for me. The front wheel ding isn't bad. I think the picture helps. I've got them on my website here... http://www.team-visionsports.com/forsale.html Tell me if that helps. |

Let me see if I can get some quick estimates on that front wheel. So far what I see is $120 to $150 for the repair and then it might not be worth the shipping. |

http://willsrimrepair.com/ He's usually right around $65. I've seen him fix up some messed up stuff. That was the route I was going to go. Maybe that helps you a bit. |

That helps a lot, I'll give him a call Monday and have him look at the picture to see what he thinks. |

Sounds like a plan. I can take more pictures at a different angle too if you need them. |

I think that they are the same, but we'd have to confirm it. |

I have some racing brake pads for the ZTL2 caliper also. Not sure if you're interested, but just kind of putting it out there. I've got a note into a friend on the rear wheel. |

Doing a quick search here on Badweather, yes, the wheels are the same up to 2010. http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/290 431/502024.html And just got confirmation on that too. XB and the 1125 will swap rear wheels. (Message edited by sd26 on December 19, 2009) |

I have a line on a black rear. If it doesn't pan out I'll buy yours if you still have it. I'll know tomorrow evening. I live near you I think, so pickup would probably work. |

Yeah, we're pretty close. I work in Burlington too, so I could make it work. |

Replies sent. I have an XB swingarm kit and full bodywork stuff that I'll probably be posting after Christmas, just to start some thoughts on that. |

Hi, Justun! The Buell Pro Series exhaust should work. Just remove your stock muffler and put on the Pro Series. That is my understanding. Upper? Might be harder. First, looking to sell the whole package to someone who needs it. Second, you'll probably need to install an XB-R upper fairing bracket in addition to some mounts for the sides. I have three side mounts for my whole package. |

Rear wheel and rotor are sold. Bent front wheel and good cryogenically treated rotor are still available. Other stuff too. Just posted my Penske shock. |

Thanks! I've been strictly a road racer for twenty two years. If I can sell off enough parts, I might have a street bike. Still scares me though. |
