I'm looking to pick up another bike as a commuter and am considering a Buell Lightning (among a handful of other bikes). As you know, they aren't easy to find. I will consider any line (S ss scg, TT etc) so long as it is in good condition, relatively low miles and a good deal. I'm located in Pasadena, California. The closer the better. If you are looking to unload one, I'm able to pay cash for the right bike and can do a deal quickly. |

Would also consider something older than a 2007 . . . |

Nah. Just looking for a Lightning. Tough to find. People have offered up their Firebolts and now a Uly, but nothing on the Lightning front yet. |

"If you would consider flying to Seattle and riding home.... " I've read that Buells aren't 50 state compliant. If true, I don't think I can buy a bike from out of state and register it in the People's Republic of California. I'll try to find more info on the subject. That's a great looking bike. I have family in Seattle . . . |

One of the salesman at a Duc dealership told me that they are now building the bikes to be compliant in all states - I have know idea if that is true of Buells or if it would be true of the 2007 models. I'm taking it on a small tour of eastern WA over the mountains this weekend, so it will probably have more like 2000 miles on it soon. Good luck with finding the right bike. |
