2005 Buell XB12R with super low miles and in *beautiful* condition! This Buell was built the way it should have come from the factory! Over $7,000 was spent on this bike - $4,000 in parts, and $3,000 in Buell factory-trained labour. I of course have all parts and labour bills and a complete bike history file, together with all the original parts take-offs, which will go with the bike to its new owner. This Buell is absolutely drop dead gorgeous and beautiful to look at AND to ride! The sound is AWESOME. Needless to say she had never been layed down or in an accident.

This bike was bought by a veteran 48 year old rider in 2007 (with 2,500 miles on it), with ambitions to ride it on local tracks - it was therefore upgraded with the best parts available, money no object. After the prep completion it was taken to the track for classroom style session just once, before realization set in that this wasn't going to work out, so subsequent track days never happened. It was maybe ridden for 150 miles afterwards, and then stored in the garage with the rest of the bike collection. The oil and filter have just been changed and the battery replaced, and she is now ready for a new home.

Here is a list of all the upgrades:

§ D&D Exhaust (probably the best sounding exhaust out there and
adds tremendous torque).

§ Direct Link - Power Commander with Custom Map uploaded for D&D
exhaust. Laptop controllable module (cost $500).

§ Open Air Box Conversion Kit w/K&N Airfilter & Billet Catch Can from
'American Sportsbike'.

§ Buell Race ECM.

§ LSL Steering Damper ($400) & Buell Front & Rear Sport Springs.

§ Chain Conversion with DID 530ERV Racing Chain & Vortex Sprockets.
Geared the same ratio (stock) as w/Belt Drive.

§ Frame & Axle Sliders.

§ Gold Rizmo Grips & fully adjustable Levers.

§ Gold Gilles Tooling Rear Sets (the absolute BEST on the market - cost
$550). Fully adjustable to anyone's size or preference.

§ MS-100 Electronic Quick Shifter for clutch-less upshifts (cost
$400). Currently set up also for manual Grand Prix shifting, up for
first gear, then down. This vastly improves the tranny performance - can
be easily reversed by swapping round the shifter knuckle.

§ Carbon Fiber Tank (air box cover), oil cooler cover & air intake
scoop. Cost - mucho dollar$$$!

§ Trick LED Rear Light (bought from a source in Germany).

§ Buell analog tachometer. Original dashboard comes with it as well.

§ Battery Tender.

Everything was professionally installed by Eastside Harley Davidson in Bellevue, Washington. Over $3,000 was spent just in labor to have everything fitted and dialed in perfectly. History file contains all receipts and manuals for $4,000 +++ of parts. The Michelin Pilots are in great condition. Stock take-off parts come with the bike as well as receipts & manuals.

All my bikes are built to the highest standards, and this one is no exception. This gorgeous 24k Gold buell runs as good as it looks! Super fun to ride with this monster torque motor!

The pictures do not do it justice, but give some idea of how mint this bike really is. I will assist with shipping, or she can be picked up locally in St Petersberg, Florida.

Never mind I now see the price, a bit high for me although not much. I will certainly keep a close eye on this one as I am in the market and a serious buyer.

Hi Notorreyus,

Yeah, she is one sweet Buell! Sorry, the price was cut off on the heading - I've just put it on eBay for auction with a low to generous reserve, and a buy it now price of $9,500 - yeah it's a bit steep but you are getting a totally dialed in ready to ride bike for your money - as I said it's up for auction so the reserve is lower than $8,750 - I thought I'd put it on the two major Buell forums to get it to the right kinda people - anyhoos if you are serious either PM me with an offer, or bid on the eBay auction - I'm not sure if I'm allowed to list the eBay listing here - so apologies mods if I am out of line - please delete this if you need to...

Good luck to you. I have to be honest though I have more wrapped up in paint then you have in all your parts. Things is the bike isn't worth what your asking.

Hi Bads1,

Folks spend fortunes for an OC Chopper - horses for courses. I think she is worth the dough in comparison - try buying a 2,500 mile pristine 2005 and replicating this project - unless you are a competent mechanic and knowledgeable with the tunes and power commander side of things too, you'll be lucky to come in under 10 or 11k +++ with dealer labor. Essentiall the bike has done under 250 miles with all the extras. You're also getting all the stock parts, which can also be sold for a grand or more??? It's up for auction or offers, so the market will ultimately decide!

I have all the things you have then some minus your rear sets. My bike hasn't even seen a garden hose to wash it but twice. It is what it is. A Buell... a nice Buell but you won't and can't recap labor and aftermarket parts or even paint in my case. It may fetch just a tad bit more be cause of the extra's but no where close to what was invested. Don't get me wrong your bike has all top notch items and cared for in every way. I'm in the same boat. I'm pondering on selling mine. Huge dollars and I know I won't see it again. But I always stop and look back at it and say I didn't do it for a investment. I did out of enjoyment and the love for it. Heck I have another Buell to sell if I sell my custom one. Just not getting the enjoyment I once did. Its fading in me I'm afraid.

Bads1.

Hello again.

Thanks for this most welcome missive - I get the feeling of mate / anti-mate that me wife engenders, her being from the good old boy republic of Atlanta, Georgia. She also speaks with forked tongue! In the Appalachian and Ozark regions, the hillbilly stereotype formed the basis for financially lucrative commercial interpretations of traditional culture through theme parks and theaters, such as Dogpatch USA in Arkansas, and Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee.

The stereotypical hillbilly has inspired many fictional accounts in a variety of media, from novels and comic strips to movies and television. These accounts introduced the hillbilly to the general American public.
The hillbilly lifestyle of Kentucky was gently parodied in the comic strip Li'l Abner, which inspired a Broadway musical and movie by the same name.
Another comic strip, Snuffy Smith, offers a less gentle hillbilly family parody set in North Carolina, featuring a lazy father, a hard-working church-attending mother, and a simple nephew "Jughaid" who wears a pan for a hat.
Lum and Abner was a popular radio show about two stereotypical hillbillies of Arkansas that ran from 1931 to 1954.
Ma and Pa Kettle were very popular characters in comedic movies of the 1940s and 1950s.
The earliest television series dealing with hillbillies was The Real McCoys, starring Walter Brennan, Richard Crenna, and Kathleen Nolan, about a West Virginia family that moves to California. The show ran from 1957-1963.
The 1960s American sitcom The Andy Griffith Show has two contrasting stereotypes of recurring hillbilly characters: The ignorant but kindly, impoverished but generous Darling family, portrayed by bluegrass band The Dillards, Maggie Peterson, and Denver Pyle; and the belligerent, paranoid, frankly violent buffoon, Ernest T. Bass, portrayed by Howard Morris.
In the 1960s American sitcom The Beverly Hillbillies, the Clampett family were supposed to have come from the hills near a fictional hamlet in the Ozarks known as Bugtussle.[6] While Granny was from "across the river" in Tennessee, Jed and his family were from the Ozarks as noted to the references of Tulsa and Joplin being close by.
In 1970, the author James Dickey published the novel Deliverance, a story about four men going for a canoe-trip on a river in the mountains of Georgia. They encounter several sociopathic hillbillies and are subsequently attacked, captured, tortured, and raped by them. (Dickey based his novel on a real canoe trip in which he was actually helped by friendly mountaineers.)
A popular television comedy-variety show Hee Haw starred several well-known country singers and regularly lampooned the stereotypical hillbilly lifestyle.
The Amanda Show on Nickelodeon had segment, or skit called "Hillbilly Moment"
