I've put my RS up for sale at what I consider to be a stupidly low price of $6200. See Los Angeles craigslist for the ad - search 'Buell' and it'll be among the half dozen ads that show up. See profile for preview picture. If anyone's interested, better get in touch before I come to my senses. Al

Rex - I got this one already built just how it is now so I don't know about what fits what. The stock bodywork was in Chicago area last I knew - it's been advertised here as a project with the white parts, which he got from me a couple years ago. I'm not in trade mode right now, plus I've never been enamored by the S1 seating facilities. Al |

no problem understand. I will keep my thinking cap on as to how I can buy. REX Don't guess you would be interested in a new Kawasaki 250 twin...Black. ? just a thought. REX |

Well - it didn't go on ebay so I'm trolling for reasonable offers ("reasonable" being in the spirit and vicinity of the aforementioned stupidly low $6200) on the RS. Sorry Rex - I've never owned an imported bike of any kind, and I'm too old to start. At this point the only trade I'm seeking is for USDs. Al |

It's back on fleabay with a lower buy-it-now and no reserve. 5 day auction. Al |

What exactly are the panniers on that bike? I wonder if I could buy a set and make a rack to fit them to a standard RS1200? Regards Gavin in New Zealand 1990 RS1200 in Canada. |

Gavin The panniers (such an elegant term - here in the US we call them "saddlebags" - how mundane!) are stock S2T with the shallow lids. You can buy a set, though they tend to be pricey, and the stock rack could likely be modified to fit. Don't you think the organic lines of the S2 'bags would look out of place on the more angular RS? Bump - It's still up for sale as a unit. (as opposed to a bunch of individual parts and components on fleabay - I'm still wrestling with the idea of parting out such a beautiful and great running bike just to recoup some fraction of my investment in it) Price is slightly lower. It's on Los Angeles Craigslist and ebay currently. Just search 'Buell' on either. If anyone is interested I can be reached through my profile, in addition to the above. AL

SOLD! It's going to a Buell enthusiast. I was about 3 days from parting it out, which would have been a heartbreaker. Al ps - That makes me a former Buell owner, and now I will probably just occasionally lurk here on the badweb. Thanks! See Ya. |
