Very nice bike! I am in the process of trying to sell my own, I'll be in touch if I have any luck. Meanwhile I have a quick question. I've never seen that "Twintail", is that a part from another model, or did all S1s include it? Thanks a lot! Chuck |

Chuck_v The twintail was a factory option, maybe just not a popular one |

Some were shipped with. It was also sold as a popular option in the catalog on page 725 and featured in the "Bench Press a Back Road" advertisement. But then . . . . I am a construction worker and just guessing.

I was selling Buells in 98. In fact I bought a S1WL when I found out the 99's were FI. I ordered the Twintale kit the day I bought it. The S1WL for the Dealers 1st 3 order periods only came from Buell in White and Solo seats. The 4th period Buell finally figured out not everyone wanted White & solo seats. They offered in the 4th order in a few colors, frame colors, all came with the Twintale and Aluminum footpegs, and called this a S1W. The whole year they offered PM factory wheel upgrade as a $620. factory upgrade. Bought another S1W in May of 07. Hell I kept the custom paint, had to have another. If any more Q's, I'll try to help. |
