Zero miles on this,
Shock is 1/2" longer than stock, will lower ride height by aproximately 1". Currently sprung for 120lbs. rider.
AST will respring for around 50 euro, that's about $65.00 plus shipping, or you might be able to get a suspension shop here in the States to do it. Looking for $400.00 |

PM's go to the email inbox that you signed up with. They are not stored on Badweb itself like on some other forums. |

HI John, Sorry, It's been one of those days. I am having trouble with my email account so I need to post this here. The info should be helpful to everyone that's interested anyway. If you decide you want it, PM me a phone number. The shock has 15 click low speed compression damping. 11 click high speed compression damping. 12 click rebound adjustment along with stepless preload adjustment. There is no ride height adjustment. I had it made in the custom 17" length and sprung for a 120lb. rider, to lower the ride height on my wifes S1W. It brings the back down about 1". I also moved the fork tubes up about 3/4" to get the geometry closer to stock. The shock was recently serviced at AST in Belgium, for a recall on the rear mount eye, at which time it was fully disassembled and cleaned. They apparently had one fail and recalled them all. I reinstalled it on the bike just before the season ended here in New England and the bike was put up for the winter. Before the recall it had about 600 miles on it. I purchased it through Trojan U.K. who is a sponsor of the Badweb. Looking at their site it seems they only sell AST shocks for the X1's now. You can send it to AST directly to get it resprung, or a shop like Traxxion might be able to do it for you. Of course if you are only about 130lbs, it should be just right the way it is. The X1 AST shock at Trojan sells for 625 pounds sterling. That's double what I'm asking. Let me know if you want it. I can take PayPal if that works for you. Thanks, james |

Hi Snake, I apologize again for not being able to respond off line. Seems I can receive email but not send. I have actually just posted the S1W FOR SALE, so I am not in need of stuff for it. PM me a phone number so we can work out the details on the shock off line if you wish. Thanks. |
