just had my 2000 X1 engine evaluated and learned that I needed a new crank. The bearings are shot due to lack of oil (thanks to aftermarket oil cooler) and I need to replace the whole thing.... anyone has one sitting around? |

Ha ha! Well, it is a Jagg with an adapter between case and filter. According to the guy who inspected my engine a cooler without a check valve system should never be in the feed line but -if at all- in the return. He guessed the engine was fired up after a longer standstill and the lack of oil during the first turns caused the freeze of the crank. Does that make sense? |
