2005 model xb12r for sale, has about 36,500 miles on it. Great bike, yes it has a lot of miles on it, I only put about 1,500 of those on there. I bought it in July and just don't have the time to ride it like i want to. The original owner was the head mechanic at Mike Bruno's Bayou Country Harley Davidson in Houma, LA, and he definitely took care of this bike, he did a lot of touring on it. It has a custom drag style exhaust that he made himself, which sounds AAAAAHHHHHMAZING! Its awesome to check my mirrors going through town when i pass someone and see them still looking around for the 110cubic inch chopper. Just had a new regulator and battery put on it, it was just in the shop for the rockerbox leaking so its all good now. the shop in Houma put all new tires on it when i picked it up, so only about 1,500 miles on them. Jonathan had some custom risers made which make it a much more upright and comfortable ride, they're only about a inch. It also has a one of a kind airbox cover from Buell, it was a prototype that never made it into production, so a buddy of his sent it to him, which definitely makes it stand out. It is by far the most looked at and admired bike at bike nights. The bike itself is in really good shape, i just had a friend of mine's dad who builds choppers and is a good friend of Jonathans look it over and he said the bike is sound, and vouched for Johnathan staying on top of his stuff. The only really obvious cosmetic problem with the bike is just a little bit of oil stain on the pipes from this recent problem, but i would recommend heat wrapping them anyway(this was next on my to-do list), and i have the wrap if the buyer wants it. I bought a 2 year extended warranty with the bike and i'm not sure if its transferable or not, but i dont know why it wouldnt be, i havent even endorsed the warranty card, and its a $50 deductable to have warranty work done. Overall this is a great bike, it does have rather high mileage on it, but is in EXCELLENT condition, both externally and internally. I would like to get $4k for it, but that is negotiable. Any questions email me at jacob.goodwin@usm.edu thanks, jake

So 36k miles is high mileage these days? Is that the voltage airbox cover? |

ha to some yeah...to me it just means it was ridden like it was meant to be ridden and no i dont belive its a voltage airbox cover, i've never seen one like it. The guys at the dealer in Houma, LA said it was a prototype that never went into production and the former owner had a buddy at buell who hooked him up w/ that...they could've been completely BSing me, but they were by far the most respectable and coolest group of guys that i have EVER come across in a harley/buell dealership. i did a quick google of the voltage airbox cover, i'd like to see it to compare, cuz if its not a one of a kind airbox cover then i need to know so i can take that info off, cuz i dont want to bs anyone into or out of anything intentionally. Any idea where i can find a pic? |

Hey Jacob, I am Lucas the guy that done all the paper work on your bike at Mike Bruno's . I know the bike personally and can say it was very well maintained, Its a great bike to, rode it a few times. On the air box cover I dont remember the exact story but me and the mech was pretty good friends with a guy that works at buell and he hooked up with something that was being thrown away. thats all I remember since it was a few years ago. |

ha i wish cuz i'd love a vrod, but the ONLY reason i'm getting rid of this bike is because my garage is freakin full, '06 hd sporty 1200C, '97 hd fatboy, '08 kawi ninja zx6r and the '05 firebolt, somethin has to give unfortunately |
