I only put the wiseco's and s+s cylinders on because my stock cylinders were out of round, just a try for some better quality than stock parts and hope my new brand new bike lasted longer than the only 350 miles i'd got out of it.The s+s cyl. come undersized,so you have to have the pistons fitted, they had more fin area, cast iron splined liners.I'm in N.Ohio,an area where the 3 different engine builders i talked to at the time(year 2000) were Stongly against using American Air Cooled plated cylinders.I guess from what i read the Millenium cyl.are working well though. I keep thinking about an 88"engine but in reality will probably get another R1 when i can,and just keep my Buell for when i'm in the mood for it. |

ok, here goes... take this for what you will, but i am personaly doing exactly what you are doing..... i have a 95 s2.... guess what.. they alredy have flat top pistons... add the heads and bam.... add cams, force exhaust, any good intake, and next thing you know, your knocking on the 100hp doorstep.... my guess is 95ish rwhp.... this is the rout i'm going, but money is tight at the moment untill tax returns get here... so its slow going.... if you get there before i do, let me know what ya think. |

Phat_j, I hear you, (my '96 S1's gone the T-Storm route already, along with Buell race exhaust & ignition, jetting etc with above posted results) but before we get told to move this chat to the Knowledge Vault.... The Thunderstorm heads don't use the flat top pistons.... They use a slightly domed item specific to the heads.... and bring cr to a mathematical 10.2.... See you in the knowledge vault fer any further yak. Lornce |

I put up a page on our website about XB & 2004 XL heads. They're more expensive than T-storms ... only available bare, they run $288 apiece for XB's and $305 apiece for '04 XL's. Then it takes another $55 and change each to get the rest of the hardware. But we're happy to put'em together for folks and configure them for your application. |

cleaning garage, found some stuff i NEED to get rid of: 1 black m2 gas tank, think it is from a 99. buell lettering bubbled up, otherwise good shape and intact. 1 forest green(?) gas tank, either m2 or s3, carb'd model. good shape other than the lettering bubbled up. 1 black tail section from an m2 and a seat. tail section has no cracks. seat has a SMALL nick in it. otherwise clean and usable. trying not to go the ebay route... make me and offer on all or some... will make a trade if you have an interesting offer (air cleaner kit for and m2..?) thanx orangm2

Aaron, What about someone who already has a 1250 converted 883? Will the Hurricane 883head pistons still work with the XB heads? Thanks Ryan |

Hey all! Question. I have a 2000 M2 muffler that I'm selling at an eBay auction. Someone contacted me saying I've got the starting price too high. What is the typical, current price on such an item in very good condition? For that matter, what is a reasonable price to expect for a 2001 M2 tail piece too? TIA H-man |
