Up till now my favorite looking tuber was an '02 M2. Orange frame, charcoal plastics with the orange piping on the seat. BUT That X1W is absolutely captivating! I want to ride it in the worst way! Beautiful bike. I'm sorry, I'm in no position to buy anything currently. DAMN Be patient, it will sell soon. The weather is getting better and better. |

Wow... one twist after another...This is my first Buell and I never had any reason to doubt that stupid sticker. i'm at least the 3rd owner. What still confuses me is someone else felt they have seen a blue x1w. So does this mean there is no such thing as a 2001 x1w? I too spent alot of time, shearching the internet try to find x1w pics, i found alot of 02's, but not one 01 to reference. It seemsI have miss represented this bike, and I’m not happy about that. That tugs at my very integrity. The only plus I can find is I think it looks better then the all white bikes I was seeing. Anyway I've got some sort of buell for sale.. Nobody has shown any interest.. How about $3600 firm? |

Court, thanks for the help. If that’s your finial opinion I will take it as the truth. But just for the sake of conversation, you did say the build sheet included an x1w that day?? So even the factory information contradicts ?? |

If you are in a position to keep it just for another month or so you will not be forced to drop your price as much. Well, at least not as much and not all in one time anyway. Don't sell it too cheap...Try finding a spot with good traffic and safe and leave it there a few hours a day. It's a type of bike that someone has to see... Good luck and don't beat yourself up about the possible error in the model designation, etc. It was an honest mistake. |

>>> If that’s your finial opinion It is. I did a lot or research yesterday and last night as my curiosity got piqued. >>> So even the factory information contradicts ?? No. The factory records are dead accurate. I had to go back through the dialogue with the folks at East Troy. The fellow who looked at the build sheet confirmed "White X1 Lightning". By the time the e-mail got to me it had become X1 White Lightning. What they MEANT to say was it was a WHITE X1 Lightning. I was wrong. It's a very nice bike. |

Kalali...Yea.. $3600 seems cheap to me too, but I'm seeing a lot of nice bikes on this web page with good prices and none of them seem to be moving.I want a fast deal because I've got my next bike picked out and need the cash to close the deal... Court... thanks again.. I hope my last post didn't come off as giving you a hard time.. Froggy... That's about how far I had to travel when I bought it.. I road a metric cruiser 200 miles out, traded it, and rode this one home. I almost blew it off as too far, but then the guy started it up, and I listened to it over the phone. It sounded like some kind of stock car. So I had to go see it. I can email anyone who pm's me more detailed pics and talk about it's maintenance history since I've had it. I also have the owners manual and the shop manual. clear title in hand. |

Nice bike and you can't beat this site for information. You also did nothing wrong. You have a lot of interest in it here... unfortunately the market has hit just about everybody. Try craigslist for a quick local sale. Keep reposting here every week or two, things do change and spring is coming. |

The economy hasn't hurt me at all, its been a flood of opportunity everywhere. Just looking at all the classifieds here has been getting me wet. Buelleaver, trust me, you don't need to sell me on it! Just trying to grab some cash together before i start to make a serious decision. |

Definitely a buyers market... I wonder how much the dealers would offer on trade-in nowadays...Must be very depressing... |

>>>.Must be very depressing... Why? Are you a dealer? I'm seeing Porsches at 17%-20% off MSRP . . . I could not be more thrilled. We're replacing my wife's car and the dealer shot me their "best number" and I shot back with $5,000 less and they bit like crappie in a still farm pond. This is not all bad for the dealers . . every unit they sell will produce future revenues in maintenance and parts and this won't last forever . . . give it another 24 months. A fair shake, and great buying opportunity, for riders given that the HD "Selling over MSRP" lasted for better than 10 years. Smart dealers will craft the current climate into opportunities. The less wise will perish. That is as it should be. |

"they bit like crappie in a still farm pond" 35 years ago in S/E Kansas I would have agreed with you but since then things have changed. Now its Bluegill if you're lucky. |

"...Why? Are you a dealer?" No I am not but I was wondering if one would do better if they traded the bike in for another bike or sold it outright to a dealer. |

>>>>35 years ago in S/E Kansas I would have agreed with you but since then things have changed. And continue to change . . . we have 200 acres with a 22 acre pond. Some students turned state employees with time on their hands have been sitting around looking at Google Earth and discovered the imminent threat the family "non-engineered" dam (about 300 yards long, is posing to Carlson Road about 3/4 mile down the hill. Negotiations continue. My hope is to take my Brooklyn born and raised wife Crappie fishing before we are forced to breech the dam. I tell her stories about sitting in a boat in the middle, dragging out all the 1# Crappie we need, tossing a pile of wood in the circle of rocks, the frying pan with the butter and having fresh fish sandwiches on the bank. . . she's agast. Where in S/E Kansas . . . anywhere near Moran, Uniontown, Ft. Scott, Lacynge? . . . all my ol' stomping grounds. |

Court, think farmers and DDT before it was banned in the early '70s. pk, yes I know Phillip and Shirley Jamison, they were my neighbors before I moved 6 years ago. He was still riding his white Fatboy the last time I saw him. (Message edited by Jramsey on February 18, 2009) |

I was looking for quick sale and didn't get it, So I've decided to withdraw my sale offer. The worst that might happen is I might end up with 2 motorcycles.I would of missed smoking expensive Harleys anyway. Don't know if anyone cares, but here is the bike I was hoping to get. 90 degree 750 v twin super motard. Thanks everyone.
