Flat black fuel tank cover, chin fairing and front fender. Rattle can flat black over previously painted "custom" paint. Good to use to test color options or for complete strip for your own custom paint. $110.00 shipped. Cheaper than painting over your OEM color and deciding the new color is not for you..... |

Do you still have the plastics? Any pictures? What condition are they in? What color paint was it beneath? Do you know what kind of spray can was used? Could you use it as is? I wanted to go with a flat or gloss black on my bike, but I'm hesitant on spraying my white plastics. I don't want it chipping and looking like crap. I did it on motard dirtbike. It's one thing to do it on drz400, I don't want to happen to my buell. |

B&C- Plastics are in good condition, no cracks or anything. The "custom" paint beneath was red with blue and yellow stripes. The outline of the stripes can still be seen under the black on the tank, but I think it's kinda cool, even though it sounds weird. Krylon spray paint was used. They could be used as is I guess but I would at least scuff the paint and put another coat on. Again I used these as a test set so I did a quick job of painting and didn't take care of the paint when removing them. I used them as a test set, because like you I did't want to paint my flawless OEM set. Attached is a picture during the testing/mock up phase of repaint and dual headlights.
