I bought all the parts that ren't needed from a guy building a Buell powered Redneck Engineering chopper. I have a '97 S-1 Lightning frame/gas tank/swingarm/oil tank/shock/motor mounts/exhaust/etc. I'll be using a '99 X-1 Lightning motor, switching to carb from FI I need everything that will get me up on two wheels...... complete front end (inverted preferred) wheels (three spoke cast preferred) brakes rear belt pulley belt fender/seat combo wiring harness axles THANKS!!!!! I'd like to sell a like new condition S3-T fairing (without mounting brackets)dark grey in color, and the fuel injection setup from my '99 X-1 Lightning motor. Hey Lightning, why not just buy my S3T and change your name to T-Storm? Be a lot simpler and you can ebay all the parts you've accumulated for fun tickets for other projects...  Just a thought, sounds like you like to row upstream though, most of these Buells are going the other direction, keep up the good work! | ||

Sure thing. Maybe I'll buy it, most likely WON'T! Since I have a bunch of non-Buell parts, I'll use them to create a unique design of my own. I'm not looking for a response from you that is of a sarcastic nature, though. Black stock length DNA springer and a set of 16" dresser "wagon wheels" is probably the route I'll take. Might be ugly, might be funky-cool, depends on the eye of the beholder theory. | ||

Man I think you totally misunderstood the intent of my post. First, that little wink should clue you in that I'm kidding around with you. Maybe you don't have time for that... Second, this quote; "sounds like you like to row upstream though, most of these Buells are going the other direction, keep up the good work!" everyone who rides a buell is rowing upstream, this was meant as a complement. My bad; my apology. I'm not thin-skinned, but that may have made it appear that I am!! I've owned four Buells, all tube frames, all S-1's, except for one M-2 Cyclone. I also own a '98 XL1200-S, that I put dirt track handlebars on, as well as a K&N air filter and a earlier version 883/1200-R series oem 2 into 1 pipe with Screaming Eagle muffler. I'm not keen of heat shields, so I insulation wrapped the headpipes. I have several ironheads also. I love Sportsters, and Buells handle the best and just look BAD!! The swimming upstream aspect can be applied to many genres in today's economic conditions! :-( I have a photo of my last Buell, a '96 S-1 Lightning, but I don't know how to size it to fit the format requirements here! Duh; dummy here!! LOL | ||

No body no foul Lightning. I'm looking at a 2002 XL1200S right now, they want 6500 for it but I'll bet they'll sell for a lot less. It'd be nice if I could work a deal to keep my S3T AND get the Sport... I've posted pics here before so if I can do it... I used windows Paint program, hit Ctrl W and then adjust the dimensions (both of them or it looks really weird) from 100% down to 15%. Save the picture as something other than the original filename and you're done! Like to see what you're up to. | ||

I cannot figure out how to shrink the pixel count.....so here is a link to view the bike: www.flickr.com/photos/skylabxl/1446743261/ I sold the PM wheels shown in photo, as I wanted a less polished look. I installed black three spoke cast wheels. Also, the Corbin seat was torn at the piping seam, so I reworked it by adding closed cell foam to get rid of the 'dished seating area' effect, then recovered it with a black marine grade vinyl, having a tucked and rolled seating area design implemented. I wish I could figure out how to post a photo of it as it was when I completely finished it. It looked better, imho, than with the stock Corbin and PM's. | ||

PM sent - I have a whole bunch of stuff from swapping an S3 motor/exhaust/other bits into an S2. S2 Wheels, axles, header, rear Brembo caliper and mount, belt, S3 inner fender, gas cap, S3 tail section, rear wiring harness, front wiring harness, dash, gauges less clock, steel swing arm, shock for same, voltage regulator, belt, etc. Let me know what you need.
