Thanks Josh, Not very good news on the body work. I will assume waiting until closer to mid winter might also be a better time to put m up for sale again? Note from your profile photos you have a very nice stable of bikes. Ron |

>Not very good news on the body work. If you're a seller (esp of new parts you paid retail for) you are correct. High $$ parts are like-new carbon fiber and complete hard bags for S3s. The rest goes for peanuts. Yeah, the winter might be better, eBay isn't the best place to get Buell prices either. |

Rocket, Being the owner of two S1's ('96 High Voltage and '97 88 inch) with mods a plenty....that is one of the coolest bikes I've ever seen! You should be proud. Lee |

Pete I bought it with 3000 miles showing. It now has 3500 on it. I'm told it's genuine but can't confirm. No history was given to my friend when he bought her. He bought her from a well established and good local shop, the owner of which I know and have been friends with since I was 18. They shift a LOT of motorcycles, consequently 12 months has eroded their memory, even when I took the RGV to show them all! Anyways if you need or want to know more I'd start by saying she's in great condition, looks completely un-messed with and the mileage appears to fit the way she looks and I believe the tyres are the original fit ones ( which probably explains why she slides at the rear when I try getting my knee down on roundabouts). Do you want her? Go on you know you do LOL I'd end up with a headache whilst you ride off into track day heaven! Trust me, no tube Buell handles as good as this RGV. Lee, I was proud until the dealer screwed up some warranty work last year culminating in an S&S rod coming out of the cases! As if that wasn't enough, the legal wrangle has knocked the wind out of my sails and after such determination to fight my corner the best solution I can achieve is a paltry settlement of a new set of crankcases which I could have bought for £1200. Was it worth waiting a year to settle? No way but that's the chance I took. What next? I fix her up myself this time thus gaining back my enthusiasm and a lot of satisfaction seeing it through with my own bare hands. If and when she flies again, that's when I'll know if I'll fall in love again. Am I proud? Every time I look at that pic I am. Thanks for the words Rocket

Rocket, You've almost got me thinking about it. Probably makes more sense to bin an RGV at the track than my Buell.....

Rocket, You need to get a high res side shot of your S1 to Turnagain so he can do a quality cut out job. I would use that pic for wallpaper ANY day! Probably even put on a t-shirt. Brad |

So Pete does the Aerocharger set-up include low comp pistons and any other sundry engine internals like maybe a suitable cam etc etc. Are there fuel pump and pressure valves etc. I'm thinking not, so just how complete is the set-up you're selling. You almost got me thinking about it seeing as I'm into rebuild territory anyway, but I'd need \ want everything to complete the task. Did I tell you I have a 1996 RVF 400 too? That's a baby RC30 to anyone asking and a real track day tool. You don't want to know how good she is though otherwise you'd end up owing me money!!! By the way Pete, I can send the RGV on the flower truck if you wish! Rocket |

I'll swop her for your Aerocharger!!!! My mistake. I thought that meant you wanted to do it. I would have to check what it cost re import duties etc first, as I would probably end up selling it. I'm having enough trouble finding time to play with the bikes I have, without an extra one in the shed. For everyone's info, the pump, regulator, dual inlet Pingel valve etc are all included in the kit. Also instructions for Sportster and Buell installations. I also have a set of 9:1 Keith Black +.005" flat top pistons (used but in reasonable shape) that would just need new rings, as well as .064" spacer plates for under the cylinders. Brings Thunderstorm heads to about 8:1 compression. There's also near new stock Sportster 'D' grind cams (small overlap) which are the most suitable for a turbo without getting a turbo specific grind done.

Peter; I did a quick tally of what it would cost to throw the Buell down the track .... I realized even a mild crash would cost me more in parts and repair than buying a used SV. And the rest is history Henrik |

My mistake. I thought that meant you wanted to do it. Not sure I know what you mean Pete? Are you saying that you thought I wanted ONLY the Aerocharger? Look man, if we can hash something together let's have a deal on the table. I'd happily waste my efforts going with the Aerocharger. After all I bought the RGV to ride this summer then sell on to fund the Buell rebuild. Seems I'm not to far away if you're interested in the RGV, or is that my mistake? Ping me off the board if you wish Pete or ring me. Rocket |

That was TWO years ago and I get THAT pic for a rush job from him to get to the printer. had to fab the tire (or is that tyre) and mirror. Still waiting on a decent one to cut, but I've been dealin' with cracked mounts and a blown motor too. Hey Rocket, been meanin' to mention to be careful out there on that new scoot. You should be ridin' like there's a fox around the next corner -- or maybe a whole pack of bloody F'ing hounds. be good now -- we're counting on ya. Steve(2)

Yes, Sir Rocket, I know you're not a total squid , though I've seen lap times of 250's and they're just a few ticks off of the 'big' bikes. Plus, ya know, I was once taken out by an American land yacht riding my RD350. Spent eight days in hospital and can now tell when rain's coming. enjoy, geeza we now return you to your regularly scheduled topic
