Just a heads up for anyone looking for replacement plastics for their tuber: I've seen a lot of complete sets selling on eBay and they're priced WAY too high. 90% of the body can be purchased brand new from a dealer for less than the sets on eBay are being sold. |

What dealer are you using? Tuber bodywork sets are around $350-400 on ebay, but the tailsection alone is $585 from the dealer... Not being a smartass...really, which dealer do you use?! |

I second that question. Tank cover and flyscreen alone from my dealership is right at 600 |

Painted Tuber tank assemblies (cover and fuel cell) are VERY pricey straight from the vendor/dealer. |

Pkforbes87 was probably referring to the molded plastic covers. These are less expensive to produce. T |

yes I was talking about the plastic body panels alone. Not the tank itself, or the aluminum subframe. I don't know how much either of those parts costs from a dealer, and probably don't want to know. I just got a brand new primed tank cover from my dealer for $146. look up the following part numbers at chicago harley's online parts catalog. I asked my dealer, and they price matched the online prices from chicago HD. http://chicagoharley.com/shop/index.php?cPath=27 Fuel Tank / Windscreen Decal White/White M0777.K Fuel Tank Cover 61574-99Y Windscreen 59771-99Y Chin Fairing 59467-99Y (LH) & 59468-99Y (RH) Front Fender 59380-99Y these PN's are all for a '99 X1 which is the tank cover I wanted for my '00 |
