When I get back from Homecoming, I'll PM you for him. He lost his password.

Just sent the money onahog, sorry everyone else, even though American Sport Bike advises against it , (and I totally respect Als opinion) I still want to see if this will make the bike more comfortable. wish me luck!

Why would American Sport Bike advise against it other than the change of rake and trail?
I'm inseam impaired also.
Mine is lowered 1-1/4 inches with no ill effects on handling.

Mount sold to BrettX1
Not sure why Al doesnt recommend it tho..
I lowered the front the same amount by slipping the tubes up in the trees..Bike road and handled exactly the same...

other than the change of rake and trail?

thats just it... you need to do some work with the front forks to match!!

i think its just the fact of lowering a bike that to much front to rear is the question!!

not that it wont work, just takes some travel out of it! No big deal

Lowering the bike with that bracket doesn't alter suspension travel what so ever, your just moving the entire shock assy. rearward approx. 3/8 of an inch.

The way I figured it less than 1.5 degrees change in the forks.
What would a 270 lb.rider verses one that only weighs 135 lb. do to the rake considering the seating position puts your crotch over the front edge of the rear tire?

I'd also recommend shortening the side stand accordingly after lowering the bike.

Brett....I had the mount on a 2000 s3T
I lowered the front as well and the sidestand was no issue at all...Bike still leaned enough ...Wish my S2 was like it...Hb
