Dan, Why? Bodywork and paint (and as I recall you have the S2 bodywork ), take off the luggage and there you are. I keep thinking about selling off my white '95 S2, then someone like Court goes and says he'll never part with his S2 and I start rethinking it. I forget what the main differences are between the '95 and '96 models. I know there are a few small details like machined vs cast triple-trees and the angle of the dangle of the shifter arm hoop, and a few other minor things like body-vent screens. Otherwise arent' they the same thing? Anyway, I don't have red Snap but I do have Pearl White. Not sure how serious I am as my mind changes every few minutes on the issue.

Mike, S2s have a white frame, S2Ts have a grey frame That's the biggest hurdle. I sold that bodywork a long time ago but it would be easy to get more and paint if not for the frame issue. I never use my saddle bags or lowers either. Maybe I should just sell them?? |

Well, mine's a '95 and I've been thinking of getting something with lockable hardbags, has around 20k on the odometer. Non-original seatlock with home-rigged tab to contain the seat. Seat in fair to good condition (one small corner snag if I remember right), plus a brand new spare S2 seat in a bag ready to go on if needed. Only real problem with the bike is the bung from the tire chunk on the front fairing on the lower corner of the headlight recess, and two radiating cracks that showed up in sub-freezing garage temps. Could also use a fresher rear tire, still legal tread but slightly squared and feels like it's getting a bit hard, front tire has the normal traction wear rubbles. I haven't checked, but have you contacted Rex? I think he still has his red S2 for sale, but I don't recall what year it is. |

Forcewinder, tach, custom made parts, PM wheels, trimmed license plate, custom placed turn signals, race ignition, polished rockers, much more. Looking for a 1999 or newer X1. Awwjwah, You either mean an S1, or a newer X1. There was no X1 model in 1996-9798 (not to the public anyway). Hi Mike. (Message edited by blake on April 30, 2003) |

If I ever get it back together you'll welcome to ride next time I see you. Rear sets, frame brace, revalved and sprung, no leaks, hmmm I think it needs tires too... |

Awwjwah, There was a TwinTail option in 98 that can be fitted to any S1. If you get a TwinTail, 5min on eBay should get you a solo tail and seat for <$150 (I've already sold 2). If you get a solo and change your mind I have a Twin for sale

The pic he sent shows the single tail. Exactly what I want. I just spoke to him again on the phone. Just waiting for the check from the sale of my old bike to clear and this buell is on it's way to it's new home. And to think, without you guys I would have let it pass by. |

Just seeing if there's any interest . . . Anyone X1 owners interested in working out a trade for my show-winning, 85rwhp Cyclone? 16k miles, many extras, etc. I absolutely love the bike, but my riding style has changed a bit lately and I think the X1 would better suit my needs. If interested let me know and I'll post the rest of the details Mike L. '99 Cyclone Raleigh, NC |

I'm looking for used Blasts, any model year, good condition, under $3000. The kicker is they need to be someplace close enough to go look at (I live near Detroit, MI). darthane@comcast.net |
