What to do, what to do. This is mainly a feeler. I don't really want to sell it but at this very moment I do, if that makes any sense. I've had the urge for a dual sport for a while now and am awaiting delivery on a Suzuki DR650, woohoo! I know, you guys can't contain your excitement. I had originally planned on keeping my 05 Cityx but I'm having second thoughts. I didn't factor in the garage space issue before I bought the DR. I just don't have a lot of garage space and it's going to be quite crowded when the DR gets here. I already have to pull out the car to get the one bike out. I really want a dual sport so if a bike goes, it's the Cityx. CONDITION & MAINTENANCE ======================= Miles: 5K Color: Blue Shape: Overall good/very good. Location: Marion, IN No real cosmetic blemishes except one. The front of the chin fairing has a few scratches. It's on the center piece that's not painted, right in front of the tire. Nothing else I can think of out of the ordinary. Never been down and never had any problems with it. The only thing it would need is a rear tire but I have a new one for it, see below. The front tire has a lot of mileage left on it, as do the brake pads. It needs nothing else. PICTURES ======== Here are pictures of it when I purchased it about 6 months ago. I didn't plan on selling it and didn't get a chance to clean it up before the cold/snow. It's quite dirty at the moment. If someone is really interested(and not just window shopping) I can take updated pictures but I'm not sure if they will represent the condition. These photos do. I may end up having to re-post it next spring after I get it cleaned up if I still decide to sell it. Here it is: DIFFERENCES IN THE PICTURES AND HOW IT'S SETUP NOW ================================================== As you can see in the pictures, it's not all stock. It is now, including all the reflectors. I am the second owner and got it with 2K miles on the clock. The PO had put a Jardine exhaust on the bike and I thought it was too loud. I purchased a brand new stock exhaust for it. I also had the TPS reset when I put the stocker on(I know this wasn't necessary but wanted it done anyway). It also came with a low seat but I reverted back to the stock seat. I don't have the low seat or Jardine anymore. You'll also notice in the pictures that the headlight guard is missing. The PO didn't like it and got rid of it. I bought a new one and installed it. MODS ==== The mods are minor bolt-ons and were new this summer: - Oxford heated grips(toasty) - Touratech hand guard extensions(good for cold weather) - Dark Horse black powder coated Stealth axle sliders, front and back. - Frame Pucks(if you call that a mod) - Airbox mask - Bar risers(1" rise- purchased from Al) I also have a few other extras that go with it: - T-Rex rear stand (pretty sure I can't use on the DR or I would keep it) - ECM Spy cable. Made by a fellow member. - New rear Tire(Pirelli Scorpion Sync, same as front) - New 07 airbox(Purchased from Al, decided not to install) - New K&N filter and new recharge kit(Purchased from Al, decided not to install) - I've got a few spare gaskets and o-rings for routine fluid changes. - Maybe a nice cover if it doesn't fit the DR. - Probably something else I'm forgetting I've got receipts for anything I've had done or added to the bike. I haven't been keeping up with the current pricing so I don't know what this is worth. Last time I checked they didn't really follow something like KBB. Please steer me in the right direction if I'm way off. $4500? Too low, too high SMALL PRINT: I'm not interested in any trades unless it's for a bigger garage and I can keep the Cityx. I would think about selling the extras seperate but if I still have the bike next spring there is a good chance I will keep it. If I keep it I will want some of the extras. So, please don't ask to sell them seperate. |

"$4500? Too low, too high?" === Too LOW for sure! Personally, I wouldn't even consider less than $5k for this baby! And that's if i was DESPERATE!! |

I was taking the time of year into consideration as well. Just didn't know where to start. You've got a nice Cityx BTW. Hope all goes well with your sale. |

Damn nice bike and a great price! I'd like to get a CityX once my Firebolt is sold. Good luck with the sale! |

Ride the DR for a couple weeks before you decide to sell the 9sx. The big dirty dual sports are *great* fun, everyone should have one. But probably not as their only bike. (not a slam on the DR, I have a KLR-250 in the garage right beside my XB9SX...) |

I've ridden the big DRs before but never lived with one. I do think I can get it sorted out to the point that it can be my only bike, I think. |
