Location: Coeur d'Alene Idaho. 12,800 miles. Condition: Fair Here is the deal, this Buell was my first bike, I bought it when I was just 16 or something. It served my need incredibly for 2 years, making me the biker that I am today. One day while riding a few blocks from my house I lost all compression in the engine. I figured that I had blown something major, pushed it into my garage and went out and bought the bike I had been looking at. This fall, 2 years later, I finally got around to taking a look at the bike. The problem? The spark plug had managed to work its way out of the hole, but I only found this out after I pulled the engine and stripped it down to the piston. The good news is that the piston, rings, and sleeve are all in very good condition. The bike does need work, pictured and listed below... http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2161/2042601576_461 0553fbd_b.jpg I do have the tank cover -New rear brake pads and disk, possibly new caliper as well. -New clutch cable, possibly a new clutch. -A good old carb breakdown and cleaning -Take the head down and re-torque bolts, since I apparently didn't do it right the fist time and it leaks a bit of oil between the jug and case. -A few other odds and ends that I cant think of. I would be willing to do all of this for the right trade, but frankly I simply cannot gather the motivation or excitement to take on this project for the last few months. As it stands, with a few hundred bucks and some wrench work this bike should be ready to roll for quite some time. Perfect for the wife or kid who is just getting into riding, or a fun little bobber if you want to drop a big bore kit in for a few hundred more. I also have a lot of extras that I picked up off ebay laying around, good for post-crash fix up. Trades I am looking for: A large bore dirt bike, 450cc or larger in similar condition. KLR, XR, XL, or something like that. I want something my brother can learn to ride motorcycles on, and since he is 6'5" at only 15 years old, the Buell isn't going to cut it. I would also really like to have a bike that my father can use to join me in my offroad adventures, because his 24 year old Goldwing just doesn't do it.
