Anyone have an idea of what the going rate should be for a wrecked/salvaged Buell?? I'm thinking that if you buy it from the salvage lot or insurance or whatever, you could get it super cheap. Maybe $500? I don't expect it to be in running shape, but as long as the motor is good and/or the frame and other parts are usable, you could probably piece together a decent track bike. Thoughts? |

They go from $1000 to $3000 depending on how new, and of course how wrecked. $1000 for one with the triple trees broke clean off needing one if not both wheels and maybe forks...trust me I have bought five or six of them. They look like this : and this: A little more expensive one is: Wheels and triple trees are almost always done. Word to the wise, parts are just as cheap from the dealer, no shipping charges, and they fit. Good luck! I have after pics too!

Hmm... interesting. I was thinking it might be fun to build a track bike from a couple of wrecks. |
