I just bought a 96 S2T and unfortunately there was no owners manual. I have the service/parts manual but would like to have an owners manual as well. Are these available from a dealer or after market? If anyone has one laying around let me know. Thanks, Frank f_skinner@yahoo.com | ||

Esta es no problemo and this is a wonderful opportunity for you to "test" your local dealer. Bebop on in . . . ask them to order a 99479-96YA for you. If they balk, scurry back to badweb and run down Liberty or any of the OCBD (Owner Certified Buell Dealers) (yes. . I am secretly compiling a "Court Certified" list of Buell dealers. . . this dealer thing has gone too far) and they'll have it for you promptly. Please share your experience with us . . . you are going to LOVE the S-2. Court   | ||

I gotta tell you, I bought my 95 S2 with T accessories this past spring....and I have to make myself leave it home to ride my other bikes once in a while. I love that bike. It takes the performance of my S1W, combines it with the comfort and utility of my FLHP...and now I don't ride either one of the other bikes, LOL. If you need a manual, drop me a note and I'll order ya one on Friday when I'm back at work. I'll have to look but I may even have a '96 catalog around somewhere that came along with my '95 stuff...I got a bunch of tuber swag from a buddy a couple months ago and only briefly went thru it before stashing it away from the wife and her "not more bike crap" cleaning whirlwind, LOL. And Court - great pics! Only takes me one step further towards getting spare bodywork for my bike to paint white  Whose windshield is that on the bike in the last photo? I'm guessing that's your cross-country bike...I'd love to find something tall like that for this winter. | ||

Ratbuell, I would like to check with the local dealer first but if that fails I will take you up on your offer. I am interested in the 96 catalog you have. BTW: How long have your been at the dealership in Fredrick? The reason I ask is I bought my first Buell there in 1997, a black S1. The salesman let me take it for a ride and I was hooked. I actually just wanted to see one in person. I am selling my FLH. I cannot see riding it anymore after getting the S2T. You are right on the money, I'm hooked. I still have a XB but don't know how long!! | ||

Joe...Ya used to be able to get 2" and 4" over windows...I had a 2" on my white 1995...Oldtimers tho, I cant RE: where I got it...I do RE: tho, there was an add of a place selling them in the Battle2Win Mag. Id like to get another 2" for my 96 now too..Maybe Court or American sport bike could fill us in...Gusto shows them on thier site still and thats what brand I had, but they wont reply to emails... Joe..If ya look close, I put a black trim around the 2" over window...its snowmobile windshield trim...At higher speeds 80+ without it, the w/s used really flutter... They really work good tho, help deflect the snow in winter...LOL.....Hb | ||

I actually had, at the time, 3 different windscreens. The S3 was in development and I'd been provided 3 various heights to ride and log. Higher doesn't necessarily equate to less noise, buffeting or greater comfort. I used to carry flour and a compass with me. Go to a remote spot on Highway 4 near Eskridge. Pull to the side, toss the flour to get wind speed and direction. Make my chalk marks on the roadway and go to work making 6 mile runs at varying speeds in both directions. Scientific? . . . not on your life. But it added to the body of knowledge. I've still got a new windscreen kicking around here somewhere and can't recall what size is currently on the S-2. | ||

So Court...I guess what you're saying is the stocker is the optimum size? I have noticed a lot more protection from it than, say, on my S1W in the same weather and same riding gear...but that Quiet Zone has me spoiled after only one track day, LOL. | ||

Court, I called the local HD/Buell dealership (Colorado Springs HD) and ordered the Owners manual without incident (5 to 10 days). I would not say they should be an OCBD as I have dealt with them in the past. They do seem to have a different crew than my last visit a couple of years ago. I base my opinion on the experience I had with them concerning my 97 S1. Not good. Maybe, just maybe, they have changed. I am leary of any dealership that sells Buells and none of their employees ride them, but that is just me.
