Up for sale is my '04 XB12S with the "R" tail conversion. $5750 Cosmetics: I have a complete set of black plastics or the solid red plastics. One set included in price with option to buy second set. I swapped to the silver "9" wheels for looks. Polished front forks, pass peg mounts, modified heel guards, upper and lower Buell belt guards. Performance Mods: Race ECM, filter and Race Can Jet Hot coated header-has marks, will explain below. Comfort/Convenience: Buell Custom/Touring seat (standard passenger seat under tail cowl) Firebolt Saddlebags Other Stuff: Bike has just over 13k miles Just installed a new rear Conti Road Attack 800 miles ago, front R.A. still good, maybe 8k on it. "Bad" stuff: Not really bad, but I don't want to hide anything. I had a header stud break off because the front muffler bolt fell out. I drilled the stud out with the "JIM'S" tool and retapped and installed an allen bolt instead of another stud. When the stud broke, the header flange rattled on the coated pipe, chipping the coating off. No other marks/dents on the pipe. Bike was laid down April of '06. I replaced the entire left fork with a new one, replaced the chewed up frame puck-no dent on frame, replaced the handle bars and bar end mirrors as well, all with new parts. I've ridden the bike another 8k miles without any problems. If I wouldn't have told you, you'd have never known. Like I said just being up front with the next buyer. Bike has been maintained by a HD trained independent mechanic and myself. It was just PA state inspected last Wednesday. Why am I selling? I found a HD FLHT for the right price/right mileage. Otherwise, this wouldn't be for sale. I enjoy this bike EVERYTIME I ride it. I always come back with the "Buell Grin". Will I miss it? Probably, but last time I checked, Buell still makes bikes, so there's the possibility of buying another "down the road". Anywho here's the pic's. Any questions, please call me 814 - Nine Three Two - 7405
I can email/post any other pictures needed. I'll post a picture of the red plastics installed on Monday. Bike is located in Pennsylvania. I have a trip to Kalamazoo, MI this Wednesday, so possible delivery could be arranged for mid west buyers. Other delivery arrangements are possible, after I get back next week. Thanks for the "read", Dan |
