is there a range of years that will fit my bike? or does it have to be from a 99 x1? i saw a race ecm on ebay that said the applications were.... Part Number Z1037.K This race module provides an advance curve that allows the engine to rev up tp 6800 RPM. Module designed to work with other race system components to achieve improved torque and horspower. Fits '99-later X1 and S3/S3T models. will this work??????? |

Race ECMs should work fine. I don't know if there were actual software changes from 99 to 00 in the stock ECMs or what. I don't know if it will "work" or not...all I know is the parts book lists a different part number. Part numbers could change for any number of reasons - different software, different connector pinouts, different mounting holes, or different suppliers. Unfortunately, I ride carbureted tubers and don't have much knowledge about the tuber ECMs...sorry. |
