30,000 miles, Black with Nuclear Blue frame and wheels, Buell race exhaust, Buell race ECM, Buell carbon fiber air cleaner cover, Buell shift kit, Zero Gravity dark smoke shield, American Sportbike aluminum foot pegs and shift lever, Bill Mayer custom leather saddle, Throttlemeister, new pistons and polished heads at 20,000 miles.

I am the second owner. The bike had 5,000 miles on it when I bought it in 2001. The bike looks and runs great, but it does have its flaws. There are rock chips on the fairing. The side panels under the seat are marred from strapping a big RevPak bag on the back seat. The hard bags are cracking (like they all do) and the paint is messed up in spots. Not sure how they got that way. The ignition switch is getting worn. You have to jiggle it a bit to get to the right spot. The base gasket on the front cylinder leaks. The rear tire is pretty weak and the front is good. Where the headers connect with the canister, I have used the old "tin can" trick to shore up the tolerances.

It has liked to drink oil ever since I owned it. I thought the new pistons would take care of the issue, but it did not. Buell says the usage is within specs. The bike runs like a raped ape. The parts manager at my Buell shop has the same bike. He says he wishes his bike ran like mine.

I can't figure out how to upload a photo. Sorry about that. I will be happy to email photos to anyone who is interested.

This bike has been the most fun bike I have ever owned. The only reason it is going away is because I bought a Ulysses. The S3T has taken me on lots of great trips, including a three week, 5,000 mile trip last fall through the Southwestern US. The bike is currently in Grand Junction, Colorado at a used car dealership that is owned by some friends of mine.

Thanks for taking the time to read this massive ad!

$5500
