Currently located in Longmont, Colorado. I believe that it is a 5-speed, but will verify and report back |

It's a 5 Speed. The actual model will be RS-1200/5 |

Signature element of the 1991 were:
- First year for a single front brake caliper on a Buell.
- First year for an inverted front suspension.
- First year for the 5 Speed
There's quite a story (yet another moment in time that dealt Buell a gut punch) behind that 5-speed. . . remind me to tell you. |

They made 67 (I believe) 91RS1200s 91 also saw Buell switch from Marazocchi forks and Works shocks to all WP suspension, but the early 91 bikes could have a mix of suspension pieces. (that bike is all WP tho). |

Jim: I was left with the impression that the bike had not been ridden in a while. I will check with the owner and get back to you. My inspection makes me think that it may still have original tires . . .which may be hard as rocks after 16 years. Don |

Jim: I spoke with the mechanic that services the bike . . .he said in the recent oil/filter/tune it ran fine and can't think of any reason why it should not be ready for the road. He said he would take a look at the tires and/or determine if they may need replacing due to age. Don |
