Unfortunately I have a 99 Lightning that should leave. It's in Mt.Sterling Ky. approx. 35 miles east of Lexington. I'm asking $5700 and have more than double that in it. Check my info for a pic. If you're at all interested I have an e-mail I can send you with all the pertinent info. and more pics. Thanks BTW it's about a 7 or 8 in my biased opinion. Some other pertinent info. This is a one owner motorcycle that has always been garage kept and covered. The aftermarkets include: the pipe has been jet hot coated, a K&N air filter, a Vance and Hines aluminum exhaust, Buell race ECM, heated grips (need a replacement piece to work), extra driving lights, billet oil plug, billet oil cooler, Buell amigo tank bag, carbon fiber under seat panel elimination kit,(made by the same company that made the bike's original pieces, cost an extra 10% to have it color matched) stainless steel license plate relocator kit, Buell pegasis frame bolt covers, Buell rear axle nut covers, and billet pegs. I have all the original equipment that came off of the bike. I also have alot of original paperwork including the original paper license plate. I installed new brake pads around July of '06 and it will stop on a dime with a 6 piston front brake. The tires are Dunlops that have about another 1000 miles or so on them. This bike is not a show bike, I bought it to ride and have enjoyed doing so but in the last year I have spent more on insurance than gas. When I bought this bike in Feb. of 2000 I had no children, I now have three and no time to ride which is why I am even selling it. The rear shock feels mushy to me and I have another that is not installed that will go with the bike. Any questions feel free to e-mail me. Thanks. |

Where were you last year? I looked forever to find a carbon. Oh well, I guess its part of the game to build your own. Plus so much fun. Nice ride btw, I give it an 8. Good luck, best wishes..Mattu (Message edited by wile_e.coyote on February 20, 2007) |

It was for sale last year too just not conspicuously, if you didn't see me out with my micro for sale sign then you wouldn't have known it. I'm not trying real hard because it's fun as hell to ride but my ride time has been cut into if not cut out completely. The wife seizes up like Red Fox when I even mention putting the kiddies on. I have never seen another carbon outside of websites, I would like to know where they all are. You figure with 250 that's 5 per state, I rarely even see any Buells in Ky. Thanks for the 8 btw. |

Sorry, my bad. #205 Kentucky #248 California #249 Texas Chase I wish you lived closer I'd come work for you. I powder coated for three years at a local factory before moving on to bigger and better things. I had\have an idea of opening up a small place here to do some powder coating but man those ovens are expensive! Good luck with the business! |

#144 North Carolina #205 Kentucky #248 California #249 Texas And so the ball starts rolling. I think I may keep an offline list with everyone's name and location. Maybe our own little exclusive "club" haha. Anyway I know what you mean about the little ones Chase. In April mine will be 6, 4, and 1. I can get a new truck if we ever get the younger two out of daycare. |
