This is like a brand new 01 X1 motor for sale. 1 mile and break in and bench heat cycles only. It should make about 105-110 HP and lots of torque. Everything in the motor is brand new. It was a donor motor with 3100 miles on it to start with. motor specs: all black 2001 X1 motor. assembled by New Castle Harleys race mechanic Rob. Hoban brothers racing did the bottom end with lightened, polished and balanced flywheels... knife edged with windage tray. everything is new in the bottom end. all new bearings, bushings, everything is new down there. Rods all checked. new 536 Screamin Eagle cam kit (cams, springs, titanium collars and keepers) . new pinion gear. cut down and repainted cam cover. set up for carburetor. top end: Thunderstorm heads ported and polished by MegaFlo. they are individually numbered so the flow charts are available. carburetor manifold matched to the heads. brand new valves, heavy duty springs, titanium collars and keepers. flows like it should... i can get the flow chart for the heads. has new xb rocker covers and pcv valves. new crane ajustable pushrods, new zippers one piece bases and covers. New Axtel 1250 kit w/Nikasil cylinders with new CP pistons (lightened and balanced) this motor has the very best of everything. I have receipts for all motor work & parts. Im sure I forgot some stuff, ill repost if i can think of anything or ask if you have any questions. 3500.00 steals this motor. you cant build your motor for what i want for the whole motor. make me a reasonable offer. if it doesnt sell, im dismantling it and selling it parted on ebay... im now in florida and can deliver within reason or meet you. it comes on a stand and could be crated. call me on the cell 4125126936 jsunstar(at)yahoo(dot)(com) or reply to me here... |

I used UPS Freight for a car engine a few months ago, pricing was pretty reasonable ($285 from St Louis terminal to Salt Lake terminal). Going from FL to CA is where the big cost will be. I think $200-300 will be about right... Jason, I wish I could have bought this engine from you as I had to put about $1400 into my bike this winter. Hate to see that engine torn down. Good luck bud, -Mike |

Gezzzz that is a cool engine!!! I won one like that on E-bay and the seller would not honor my ligitamint bid of $2600 . O well you know what they say about big boys and their toys. They are only worth what someone is willing to pay. |

If you have something more to say about it, email me or call me on my cell. 412 512 6936. $3200 would have still been a really good buy for you. |

From what I know about Ebay, the final bid received on a No-Reserve auction is a binding agreement between the seller and the buyer. If the seller has a minimum amount that he wishes/needs to get for an item, I would think he should use the reserve feature provided by Ebay or face legal consequences. Blake, it’s bad enough that the Badweb classifieds are being used for nothing more that to promote Ebay auctions, but it’s an embarrassment to the Badweb community when users refuse to honour their commitments, whether here or on Ebay. There should be a consequence for this type of conduct! What assurance do we have that this member would honour an agreement made on this forum? What if funds were sent in good will? FunJimmy |

jim,. i dont see where its any of your business to chime in here on my post about anything i do or how people choose to sell their personal possessions... if you dont know the facts, dont open your trap. I didnt use this post to promote the auction, as a matter of fact, if i ebay something, i generally give badwebbers first crack at it. this is the third time ive posted it here for sale over the period of more than a month! If people want to post their BUELL parts on ebay, dont you think a BUELL site is this is the best place to put that classefied... they want BUELL enthusiasts to know they have parts for sale. besides, buying from ebay is generally safer than buying sight unseen from a total stranger on a motorcycle website. at least sellers on ebay have a feedback rating. since youve made it your business, and you must know, i had a reserve intended and i made a mistake in the listing and the reserve didnt get put it. instead of canceling the bids and ending the auction after realizing it, i thought id let it ride. I dont care what it went for on ebay, i was not letting it go for 2600.00. its my motor. this was an option up for discussion. im trying to recoup some of money I have into this motor and I know Ill never see all of it. I posted this to sell it, not to discuss the rules of ebay and unless you want to make an offer, how about keeping your comments to yourself. Ive successfully bought and sold plenty parts on badweb as well as ebay, ask anyone who has had dealings with me, NEVER A PROBLEM! jim, next time you feel you have something to say about it, why dont you consider what your saying before using the keyboard... thanks buddy! |

Jsunstar You made this issue my business and everybody else’s business the moment you posted your engine on this classified forum and on Ebay. I was watching and considering bidding on your Ebay auction but now I’m relieved I didn’t. Your Ebay listing is very detailed in every respect, leaving no detail unclear, EXCEPT the hidden reserve. If and when you realized that you left this important detail out, you could have easily edited the description or heading to include your NEW condition. Your auction states “IMPORTANT: please don’t wait until the last minute to bid, its for sale locally as well as on the internet in a few places and if it sells locally or online, I reserve the right to end the auction (even at the last minute)!!!!! make me an offer and I may just end it for you! This was your out. You should have cancelled your auction early when you could see that your reserve wasn’t going to be met. Reserve auctions, especially with a $3200.00 reserve cost more to list on Ebay, and I suspect it had more to do with the additional listing fees than anything else. Enough Ebay education for now. We all get the message. You don’t honour your commitments. BTW – I received your PM this morning and must say that’s really colourful language. I see why you couldn’t post it here. There wouldn’t be much intelligent dialogue left after the administrator finished editing it. FunJimmy (Message edited by funjimmy on January 20, 2007) |

lordy, lordy, Jimmy, I now see the light, you were soo right, i needed a lecture on how to conduct my OWN affairs. Maybe I should stand in the corner to really let the lesson sink in deep. I do stand corrected, I should have given him my motor for 2600, that would have taught me a lesson in not remembering a reserve on bad ol' ebay... besides, i dont really need the money, I figured Id build a $5000+ motor for the first person that gives me half. im also gonna restore my sportster next and give it to the first a$$hole that ruffles up their panties to bitch about wanting something for nothing, you want first dibbs on it? and again, no i dont see why its your business to chime in, no one asked your opinion. Ive been posting to this board for a couple of years as well as buying and selling parts and bikes here and on ebay with no problems up to this point. ask the dozens of badwebbers and check my feedback on ebay. if you feel that you have to post in again, please refrain. message me personally or call me on the number posted above. this is a classifeids ad, not your soap box. you made your point and I feel bad. Jim, I am truly sorry. again, For sale: 1250 cc motor. still up for grabs. first bid of $3200.00 takes it. no reserve. or 2600 and 600 handling fee. |

Jsunstar As somebody who has invested far too much money in Buells, I know exactly how frustrated you feel. You’ve probably finally realized that investing money in Buell motorcycles has about the same return on investment ratio as throwing your hard earned cash in the garbage. 50 cents on the dollar! Wow, you might be doing better than most. It sucks, but deal with it! FunJimmy |

Jsunstar, Maybe you need a lecture on how to sell something on here too. First, you don't come off as some kind of jerk. Who wants to deal with such a guy...nobody! Second, you don't advertise how crooked your business dealing are to the www...who wants to deal with a welcher...nobody! Third, you don't sell things to gentlemen by bringing out your best impersonation of some bad-dude attitude. Fourth, see the first three. I hope you have learned your lesson...but somehow, I kinda doubt it. It actually sounds like a great engine and the price was definitely right...it is just that you spoiled any chance of selling it with your attitude. |
