For sale is a crash cage for an buell xb. This cage was made by myself. I'm a machine operator. this cage mounts to your front motor mount. And extends with a solid aluminum bar out. It is currently what we use to stunt with. They do break in extremly hard impacts. but great for saving pegs and case covers, and most of all your frame. kits come ready to mount. The bar is milled down for a flat mounting surface against plate. and has 3/8 16 holes in each side for sliders of your choice. Sliders might need special modifications. looking to sell for $100 without sliders. but comes ready to mount!

Will it mount on a XB12X Uly? Could I mount lights on the bar? |

I did the chain conversion. Use a sporster front sproket with .200 shim behind it. And a rebel gear sproket. 70 tooth. Putting skateboard wheel for tensioner. I'm not sure,I can find out tomorrow. If the front motor mount is the same as the XB, should not be a problem. And you could mount light if they have a 3/8 16 bolt.. |

Well I have crashed atleast at 30 and did not break! But in a violent highside, probably would. more or less for low speed crashes lay downs etc. The sliders that I have found to use are honda 929. And drill hole out to 3/8 if needed. I bought a pair on Ebay. That is the only modification! I don't have sliders on my bike. I just run the bar, and works fine. But other than that it bolts right up. You just loosen one engine mount at a time, or place floor jack underneath and remove bolts. |
