I'll be selling this SET of plates on ebay in about a week. Reserve will be set at $500.00. I will give them up to a lucky BadWeB member for $400.00 plus shipping or I can deliver for free to Southern California. These are CAR plates, front and rear. They can be transferred to a bike by surrendering both plates at the California DMV. Probably you can do this at AAA as well, they always handle my license plate needs. If necessary I can even go to DMV with the buyer in case they need proof of anything. Sale is final, buyer assumes all costs associated with transferring plates into their name. I will list them on Ebay next week probably wednesday. Collectible license plates are hot stuff, some people really go crazy over them. They make great decorations and conversation pieces for your garage or coffee table.

My first year of college, I lived on the same block as the Cheetah III lounge, a notorious 'gentlemen's club' in Atlanta. On my way to school, I used to notice a Camaro with the license tag, "44 MAG", always parked there. For some reason, I never forgot that tag or the car. 15 years later, I was getting gas in Perry, Georgia, a little town in a rural part of the state. A driver slowed down to get a look at the '55 Ford I was driving and I noticed the tag on the Impala SS he was driving... it was "44 MAG". We spoke for a while and I jokingly told him I used to see a Camaro with the same tag parked in front of a strip club in Atlanta. His eyes got wide and he started laughing. He said he was having an illicit affair with a stripper back then thought he had gotten away with it. He never said if he was married at the time, but I suspect he was. We both agreed our bumping into each other was quite a coincidence... he seemed to be in a hurry to get away from me, though. That's when I realized I would never, ever want a personalized tag number. |

Oh... man. I hope "44 MAG" doesn't ride a Buell and is a member here. |

a great tag is MWMWM...8B8B8... OR I1TI1 They don't mean anything, but try reading them at anything over 75 mph and see what i mean. For real though on a Buell I like: "TORKY" |
