Long story, short, looking to TRADE my 2000 Ducati 750 Race Prep'd bike for a XBR. Looking for a 12, but may consider a 9. Bike was involved in a minor low side on May 6th, which did only cosmetic damage. I was not so lucky. The XB will be turned into a Race only bike. If it comes with a Race Kit, all the better. I'm not looking to sell the Duc. Trade only. The reason is simple.... all the people I race (Pit) with are on Buells. We had 6 XB's, one S-1, and my Ducati in the pits at Blackhawk this weekend. The knowledge and availability of spares in our pits is basically unlimited. Me on the other hand, am limited for obvious reasons. So after talking with them, I've decided to try a secure a Buell. So here's what I've got to offer. 2000 750SS Ducati Race Bike Mounted Rain Tires on Brembo rims with rotors mounted, NEW set on Michelin Pilot Race H2's, 2 spare sprockets with extra Cush Drive,NEW spare clip ons, M4 slip on can, custom built stainless exhaust on bike, Service Manuals, Ohlins Rear Race Shock, Cycle Cat Frame Sliders, Brembo Brakes and Masters all the way around, Stainless Brake Lines. Motor work done in 2003 by BCM Ducati www.bcmducati.com ..... 795cc Kit, Ported and Polished Heads, Lightened Flywheel and crank, etc. $4454.66 in motor work alone. I have all the receipts. Valve adjusted in 2004. Only need to adjust the valves every 6,000 miles. Bike shows 5800 miles on the odometer. Oil has been changed after every Race or a Track day with full Synthetic. Remapped ECU, Carbon Fiber Custom Seat Pan, relocated catch can, 13.1 to 1 pistons, so race fuel must be used, Yoyodyne Clutch Slave ($200), Aluminum Breather with Carbon Fiber valves, DID Gold 520 chain, Sharkskin Body work Upper ($372) Lower ($248), Tail($200) and some other misc. spares. The bike Blue Books is $5360 http://www.kbb.com/kb/ki.dll/ke.kb.mr?kbb.WI;803552;WI059&53158;rc;r&&2000;Ducati;750%20SSport%20Full%20Fairing;42748;15195;;;;&&&&& . You can read the whole story on the XBoard of the weekend events to get the whole picture. So basically you're not getting a show bike, but a purpose built race bike that looks and sounds the part, Did I mention the bike sound AWESOME!? No smoke, runs like new, Just bled the brakes and the clutch. The bike will be repaired and painted either flat black or flat red. No more two color paint jobs for me. Too much work to repair. You'll never know the bike was down when I get done with it. Again, not looking to sell the bike. ONLY trade. This is the only site I'm posting this on. If interested, I can send more info and pics. If not, I will continue to race this bike. Next race is June 10th and 11th at Blackhawk in Beloit.

I have a title in hand. NOT a salvage Title either. Looking for a CLEAN 12R or possible a 9R for an even trade. Do not want a stunt bike. Body work must all be there, but if a LITTLE rough, no big deal. Not a dropped bike with a dented frame or beat up swingarm. Clear title, NOT Salvaged. Race kit installed would be a bonus. If you've ever been looking for a race bike or track day duty bike, this would fit the bill nice. If you're interested, PM me and I can send better quality photo's along with any answers to questions you might have. I also have photo's pre low side to give you a better look. Like I said ALL damage is cosmetic. No damage to frame or front end or anything. Bike is in South Eastern Wisconsin. |

Probably not be worth the effort, but the Ducati shop up here in Saukville sometimes gets a Buell or two in on trade. Might give them a call, probably not worth the conversion charge though (based solely upon my own attempts in the reverse direction with them - but I'm getting closer). |

Seems like you're the only one. Oh well, looks like I'll be sticking to the Ducati. |

Just raw curiosity talking here, but what would it take to put your Ducati back to a street legal format/function? |

It has most of the plugs for lites and such. No body work (street) and being the engine has the 795cc kit installed with high compression pistons, pump gas won't work very well. Unless you use octane boost in it. I run race fuel. 113 octane. |
