Merlin "elevated" titainium montain bike. 18.5 frame, Very rare! 150 "e-stays" made and this is one of two made with ovalized tubing. Over $5000.00 invested. to much to list. $3,000.00. Collectors dream. Here is the parts list though. Lightspeed Ti 140 stem XT 2 over the bar shifters (still like those the best) Answer hyperlight bars. XTR Brake levers Grafton front brakes XTR rear brakes Nuke proof Carbon hubs on ritchey rims. Very straigt and bomb proof as I built them myself. The rear is safety wired where the spoke first cross making for and extremely tough wheel. Manitou front shocks (the last pair to leave dougs shop When he sold to Answer. Also modified for best possible "cush". WTB Gortex shifter cables. Grafton Cranks (picked up at John Graftons house) Dean tapered Ti seatpost (one of a kind) Two seats (one Ti, one Specialized. Chris King headset (kinda beat up looking but still functional) XT Derailuers Onza clipless pedals. Full SRP Ti bolt kit (every darn bolt!) Bike weighs 24 pounds and is bombproof. I used to be in the industry and I have gone back and forth on selling this for a long time now. It is truly only one of two Merlin ever made like it. I will not take one penny under 2,500. | ||

I am 5'9 and have a 32 inch inseam. The frame is an 18.5. This was One of two merlins made with ovalized tubes at the joints. At the time of purchase there was more titainium in one F-16 than every Ti mountain bike in the world. This was also the first set of custom drawn Ti tubes ever made for the bicycle industry. To the right person it is an investment and I was going to keep it forever but I need to divest myself of some toys to stay on track with my balloon business. | ||
