Anyone by any chance interested in trading a Miller Thunderbolt 225 arc/stick welder for a tig welder (with 110v input).
Runs off a 230V single phase line, 25v AC 30-225 amp working current. The unit is mint (actually has not been used).
Its much too heavy duty of a unit, and I mostly need to do tiny stuff with aluminum. As well as I don't have a 230v line running to my work area.
Also does anyone know where I can get parts for a Emco unimat 3 lathe, in particular the vertical milling attachement and table.

Int -- check Home Shop Machinist magazine for parts for your Emco Unimat -- lots of sources for them, last I looked

Int - I'm unaware of any 110v AC tig welders. You might be able to get a 110v DC tig, but they won't weld aluminum. Go to my profile, and then to the website listed there. I weld alum. ALL day long.

Classy work.
That is a shame to hear that there really is no 110 volt AC tig welder. I was hoping that I was just bad at searching for them...
BTW how much would it cost to have a 230V line run?
Also... what other alternatives would I have?
(from what I have gathered something with a 5 amp min would be handy)

I have a Miller Dynasty 200DX AC/DC Tig Machine. It's an inverter machine and will run on anything from 120 - 460 VAC although I have only tried mine on 220v. It's also very small and portable and has a ton of cool features. They are expensive but very capable and impressive! Here's a link to it:

That is some nifty stuff...
I guess it's time to save up.
How much do you think the Miller Thunderbolt 225 is worth?
thanks

Update...
I found a 230v line (well 242v actually)
Is there any way that I might be able to make the thunderbolt unit tig ready?
