Looking for pipes for my 98 White Lightning...anyone have them ? Anyone had any experience with them and can recommend them or warn me against them? |

I run a Borla on my '98 S1W, sound nice and make good power. Before that I had the Vance and Hines, also sounded good, didn't quite make as much power as the Borla. I saw a set of Bubs on an S1 a few years back in Phoenix, they sound like straight pipes on a Harley. Not sure if there were any power gains. I have heard there were problems with the brackets cracking. Bart |

Thanx, that's the kinda of info I'm looking for. I've heard so my stories about bracket probs with aftermarket pipes esp. those on tubers with the old style front hanger...anyone else? |

I've only seen two sets in the real, non-internet world -- one set had the brackets welded up, the other set needed the bracket welded up only 2 data points, but consistant ;-} I've had no problems wiht my wileyco, but I've got a new style hanger, and suggest you get one as well, no matter what pipe ya run! |

My BUBS broke at the mounts AND cracked at 2 inches out of the head (front) lost hp compared to my Vance & Hines and sounded like #%$&! |

Thanks. I love their look and sound but I guess I better stay with a 'safer' brand. Tell me if I'm wrong but...if I go to a new style front hanger, most anything for a X1 or S3 should fit, right? All the later tubers have a 2 1/2'' outlet on the head pipe (like the S1W) not the 2'' like the S1 and S2,? |
