Author Message   Starvy Posted on Tuesday, September 06, 2005 - 12:16 am:        I am the original owner and have taken exceptional care of this motorcycle. It is in excellent condition. It has been garage kept, oil changed regularly, kept clean, tires inflated properly, battery charged at all times and all mechanical service has been done at a Harley dealership. When purchased, I had the dealership install a Forcewinder, a Vance and Hines header, PM aluminum wheels, a Chin Faring and touring handle bars. All original equipment comes with the bike so it can be easily restored to stock configuration. It comes with removable wide hardbages that have separate inner luggage liners, and an OEM Buell tank bag. I have also added a taller touring windscreen. It has never been in an accident nor has it gone down. There are only a very few minor cosmetic scratches that have been touched up. Other than that, the motorcycle looks and runs fantastic. There a few maintenance items that need attention: the shock needs to be rebuilt or replaced and the right side isolater needs to be replaced. Other than that it just had a safety inspection from the Harley Dealership and all mechanicals, brakes and tires passed. You must see and drive to appreciate just how thrilling this bike is. It's sound, performance are breathtaking. It will be hard to part with as it is the last year that the vintage tube frame design was built. I am selling it because I want to go off road with my next bike and the S3T is not designed for that use. My wife and I have taken a number of long trips on it and we were very comfortable and enjoyed the spacious luggage capacity. It is very smooth, powerful and agile. Why were touring handlebars installed? This is a factory S3T, right? If so, what handlebars have been installed? They are slightly taller so you ride more upright thereby reducing pressure on your arms and wrists for longer trips.
