Bought this engine for a project but plans have changed. New 1997 Buell S1 engine, does not have a serial number. Where the serial number would normally be it is stamped "RACE USE ONLY". Shipped to me from Wilwert H-D a few months ago. I have bills of sale from Buell to previous owner and previous owner to me. $2400 + shipping from Houston, TX (Message edited by Half-Fast on August 09, 2005) |

So how strick are the california and arizona dmvs when it comes to race only on the motor? rex |

Rex, They are pretty strict in CA. I don't about Arizona. If your bike got inspected in CA, you probably couldn't get it titled. However, if it is already titled you won't have a problem. They don't check again unless you have a special construction bike. Basically, once you get the bike titled the first time it isn't a big deal if you keep the registration paid. If you don't pay it long enough it drops off the DMV system and then you have to get the vehicle inspected. |
