Hey all, I have a newbie question. I'm replacing my left front turn signal (with a right front signal since the left front wasn't available). I wasn't paying attention to the wire colors when I unplugged the old one. On the working side, it looks like the signal black is plugged into the bike grey, and the signal blue is plugged into the bike black. But on the new turn signal, the bike side has black and purple. I'm guessing the purple vs grey are left vs right, so does that mean i should plug in the signal black into bike purple and signal blue into bike black? Sorry for the simple question...I just wouldn't want to short circuit anything! Thanks!

Standard incandescent bulbs work just fine with either polarity, so it really doesn't matter about the wire colors, only that you have the correct side blinking However, just to be technical about it, the black wires are to the bike ground and the other wires get battery positive from the turn signal flasher unit |
