now that the devorce is done, i wound-up with home and store. oh,and a monthly pay out. now i find myself remembering my x1 fondly. wont get one anytime soon either! then a 78 SR500 falls into my hands. going cafe with it since it has a really good motor and straight frame. gonna bob the rear fender 6 inches, form a new saddle,so much can be done ... gonna have fun building it. on topic however. i never had a blast that worked. had a couple x1s, but this'll be different. skinny tire and '78 engineering!
All seeing Eye of RA. There is a big following for gy6/qmb139 scooter/moped racing especially South America also a company in Florida supports a gy6 drag bike that is pretty wild.
I cannot afford to own a bike anymore. What got me interested in them was there below DOT don't have to pay Insurance, Tax and License. The problem is 50cc or below, 2 HP limit won't climb the hills around here. I would still like to build a vintage board track racer replica on the cheap.
SFMC has the Secret Society Scooter club - their grail is the ton. CF frames, wheels, ti parts and outrageous hot rodding - I wouldn't put it past them to achieve that some day. EZ
Current record is just over 77mph. Streamliner type record is almost double, but it's not streatable in any way shape or form, while the other record holder is - lol EZ
Yeah - there are some wildly fast 49/50cc scoots out there - SF area are fans of them as well. There was a kid who worked at a cafe - his scoot had a ti frame and cf wheels and it screamed like a banshee when it ran - lol - one of the secret society of SF! EZ
Its a homebuilt 500cc single heavily modified is the reason I posted it. Aaron may know a little more about the bike maybe. Looks he was running a different class anyway.

The bikes are made to order with a current price of USD$180K.
There is a delivery time of approx 12 months but we are working to reduce this time.
As for dropping 50lbs, consider for a moment just what you are getting for this weight and then compare this to any of the big dual purpose trailies around at the moment....
