The WB exhaust was discontinued years ago because of reliability issues. Unless you're racing, don't bother trying to find one, they won't last long. WB told me to repack it every 25 running hours-that's more than once a month. Great exhaust, but unreliable. |

can you use a speedo or tach off a x1 on a blast and if so is it just a matter of wireing |

Yes, but it can take a bit of work. The X1 tach uses a off a twin, so it needs 2 ignition pulses to work properly. There were some kits out to convert (not directly to work on a blast, but they'd work), but I don't know where they are now. Easiest is to use a twin timing cup (aka:wasted spark system), but then your stock module will cut your rpms at 3300 rpm. So maybe not so easy! There are ways to fool the tach, it's just finding what will work with your set up. If youre already using a twin ignition (very simple really), it's "bolt on", kinda! |

what about the speedo? so if I use the timing plate from a x1 and and a twin timing cup he tach would maybe work and not cut out at 3300 rpm? |

By timing plate, you mean ignition module, then yes. I don't know anything about the speedo. If it runs off a sensor like the Blast, then it should work. I have the X1 set up, but I never got it installed (focused on racing instead). |

banke does not sell rear set for the blast anymore. However they did offer to sell me all the tooling and drawings. Maybe they would do one more run if there was a group buy I would have to ask and I don't think there are that many people looking for them anymore. |

It doesn't have to be perfect. I commute 60 miles each way everyday it would help to block some wind. Thanks 913 223 3260 is my number if you find it give me a call. Thanks Sal |

For grip? Pirelli stock MT75 or Diablo scooter 140. I wouldn't know for mileage. DONT run Dunlops! Ever. |

Thanks for the tire advice. Another question how can I improve highway MPG I'm getting about 53mpg. I see some guys talking 60 plus MPG. The bike runs great. |

How fast are you going? I rode full throttle from memphis to knoxville, doing 85-95 depending on hills, and averaged around 50 mpg for the whole trip. Normally I ride at 60-65mph on interstates and get 60mpg. If you're sitting at the top revs you won't get good gas mileage. |

I just put a new 120/80 16 tire on the rear of the bike. Didn't realize it would hit the swing arm. From rubbing when I got to work there is now a wear mark dead center in the tire. Anyone have any advice on a fix to get a little more clearance between the tire and swing arm? |
