Hey everyone, my wife has a Blast with the stock bars on it. She REALLY wants clubman bars, but I'm worried that it will make it extremely uncomfortable to ride (still using stock footpegs). The superbike bars aren't low enough for her taste however. Is there something in between? Have any of you guys ran clubman bars with the stock footpegs? If so, which ones did you use and how uncomfortable was it? |

Has she ever ridden with clubmans? I would suggest superbike bars first. Then if she still wants lower, you can flip them over (like original clubmans). What feels good in the garage can feel VERY different on the street. There are often clearance issues with anything lower than superbike bars. Often it means no steering lock and not so tight steering. Also mashed fingers and knuckles. Or tank nicks and scratches. It's not uncomfortable, unless you have lower back issues or shoulder/neck injuries. |

She hasn't tried clubmans, I think she mostly likes the look of low bars. I went through that phase in my early riding years and discovered it really hampered my street riding because it was so uncomfortable. Maybe she just has to learn that lesson the hard way haha. |

Not so sure "the hard way" is the best idea. Going down or hitting something is an expensive lesson. I've seen new riders panic and almost get very hurt as a consequence. Others got a lot hurt. |
