Heya, I'm new to the forum, but I've been learning from this site for a long time now lol. Here's the pics of my 2000 Buell Blast. I'm going for a ratty café bobber, but I need some help on finding a rear sub frame so I can chop off that ugliness. Either for a solo bobber style, like I have now, or a café racer style seat. Also planning on calling up Mig Baron Customs to get the dragster Z-bars he makes.. I highly recommend his craftsmanship. I also have D-Axis mirrors, a Rich Phillips Leather solo seat, dan's air intake mod and a custom exhaust.

hahah thank you guys! More pics soon, I've ordered a few more parts to put on. What tires would you recommend? cause I totally agree, the traction is virtually non existent on those dunlops, and I love to lean into turns hard =P. I'll post a video on you tube or something if you wanna hear the pipes Forerunner. It sounds great for whatever the hell it is lol, I wish I knew. Everything else though I installed, or painted my self. Also not sure if I should break down and buy a Jardine RT-1, seeing as it's underslung, so I can really dig deep on right hand turns too. |

If you go with the Jardine, you may end up smacking it on the ground. You could just shorten the down section of that straight pipe and never scrape anywhere! |

That's a good point Gearhead, not only would it perform better on right hand turns, but I bet it would probably sound even more intense, w/o replacing it with a 400$ part =P. but I don't have the tools or the mechanical knowledge to pull that kinda procedure off. Any Harley dealer will destroy you financially for the simplest of task, but where I live, there are no custom motorcycle shops. Just need to take a trip to a straight shop or meet a fabricator =P. |

Pirelli Diablo 140/70-16 and 110/70-16 for the guy that likes to lean. Any auto exhaust welder can do the trick. EZ |

Looks like fun - a lot of work went down there! Welcome to the Dark side! One question Do you have an AF gauge and what is holding your carb onto your manifold? Even a superboot would have trouble with that puppy! EZ |

New Thumper here! I just bought a 2000 Blast yesterday and have taken it around the block a few times. I've already found so much useful information here so I figured I'd thank you all and share a picture of my bike. I currently live in Northern Virginia in Woodbridge if anyone is nearby. |
