So I finally had my stupid moment and laid the bike down. I wish I had a cool story. I heard a noise up front and was getting off the bike to investigate, thinking the kickstand was still down. I quickly realized it wasn't and didn't have time to recover. so mad at myself. Needless to say I'm now in the market for turn signals. Anybody have affordable suggestions? |

Welcome to the club Stock turn signals can be found on e-bay (but be careful, even when they were readily available, cheap, I'd see them go for 2-3 times the cost of new!!!) They are fairly generic looking and others might be cheap, but I dont have a recommendation |

There may be a short video of my bike FAIL. I'll check the camera at work EZ, I'm assuming that flasher just works with LED's, and that's why you suggested it? |

Alright, got a Tridon EP36 flasher from AutoZone and ordered 4 Bikemaster LED Spear turn signals from a local closeout store. I'm figuring it shouldn't be too hard of a swap. |

Quick question - realizing that how they're adjusted will matter: Does anyone know if I will need longer lines if I add Rox Pivot Risers to my stock handlebars? I'd like them to be a bit closer (and possibly lower) to me. Thanks. |

I would recommend unbolting the bars, lift them to the desired location and see how it looks. I'd be very surprised if anyone has actually added risers to the stock bars. Four bolts, easy to do. |

I did try the unbolt & lift thing before. It's close… that's why I was wondering if anyone had actually used Rox Risers. My arms / legs are really short (as am I, but proportionally more so). I don't need the riser part as much as I want the bars closer to me. I'm leaning forward enough that no matter what I do, my hands fall asleep if I ride more than 15 minutes, just from having weight on them. As soon as I unweight them the feeling comes right back. |

Tilting the handlebars towards you wont fix the problem? I'm assuming you have the low seat? I dont mean to be insensitive, I just cant figure how the bars couldnt just be tilted back far enough. With the low seat, sitting against the tank (all the way forward), hmmm? If you'd like to send me a picture through the pm, that would be okay (I promise I wont post it anywhere). |

Has anyone put frame sliders on their bike yet? This topic seems to have gone untouched for a few years on the forum. I know the blast is rather well protected but now that I have enough mods to get enough power, I'm starting to get into drifting a little with my blast. I'm from Indiana, and there are a lot of round-abouts on the North side of Indy I have been getting lose around. The long wheel base really give a lot of control for drifting. |

pt# M0332.TA (Cover, fuel tank mounting). Not so sure wood is a good idea unless you coat them with rubber. 99.99% of all Blasts parts are the same or interchangeable. Besides some updated parts, there is virtually no difference between a 2000 Blast and a 2010 Blast. Almost without exception, if it fits one, it fits all. |

You could probably use some shock absorber rubber bushings or suspension bushings. They wont come off after the tank cover is installed. But you could tap the pins for a nut if you are worried or for a better fit. The tank is plastic so any non rubber parts will wear through if they come in contact with the tank. |

I put the Rox Risers on my bike, and they're perfect. No more numb hands! They look decent too. The only mod that I had to do was to reroute the clutch cable outside the fork tubes.

So I'm looking to get new mirrors and signals. Anybody know anything about these? http://www.ebay.com/itm/170896262959?ssPageName=ST RK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649 I've seen them on a blast before but I've never installed electronics before. Is it hard or am I just plugging them in? |

Slightly more than just plugging them in (I suspect). It really cant be that hard, but installing electronics will be a learning experience (unless they do actually just plug in). Definitely beginner friendly. |

I installed new turn signals today, the one mentioned in my previous post. They work, but blink really fast. Anyone know how to fix that? |

At low resistance the LED flashers will flash fast. You can cure this by going to American Sports Bike & lashing out $20.00 for a "Turn signal Flasher-LED" P/N16086. I just ordered one for my Uly so check w/Al to make sure it's good to go on a Blast. I'm pretty sure it is as I bought one for my Blast when I had it. Good luck. Chris C |

lol - 12 bucks at an auto parts store, but American Sport Bike are good folk and always try to be in stock on Buell core items - a good reason to support them. EZ |

Hey guys, the other day while riding my shifter arm fell off. I had no indication it was going to do so. The bike is stuck in 4th gear. Any information for my next step would be helpful. Or any replacement shifter arm info would help too. Thanks! |

You can clamp a set of vise grips on to change gears. A replacement would be available at a Buell dealer, e-bay or maybe Bike Bandit.com. A sportster shifter would also work, but they are very short and dont work so well on the Blast. Part # N0601.TA |

Ok. Bought a set of four led turn signals to replace the factory turn signals. I replaced front ones first and worked fine. When I swapped out the rear ones the frobt started staying on solid and rears do nothing. Also getting a buzz when turned on. Anyone have an idea what the issue could be? Thanks |

Did you replace the factory flasher unit with an LED compatible unit ? Factory flasher won't work with LEDs. |

Note - for those interested in great lighting, a unique look, and weight reduction - this fairing when originally designed by a guy in Texas - he charged over 900 bucks - and all he did was rework an Acerbis fairing with a great idea. I told him that was way too much and that the Chinese would copy that puppy in a heart beat, and charge 800 less - actually almost 870 less - he didn't listen and sure enough - voila! - they did - this puppy is way bright - got one for my nephews project bike and I'm letting you know it's out there so you can enjoy a really cool item as well. http://www.ebay.com/itm/LED-Head-Light-Motorcycle- Street-Fighter-Black-Naked-Dual-Sport-Custom-Fairi ng-/361001755263?pt=Motorcycles_Parts_Accessories& hash=item540d61a27f&vxp=mtr Damn thing comes with a fan to keep things cool and that strapping system is easy to cinch up tight using a few ziplock ties. Guys and gals - it doesn't get any cooler than this! Enjoy! EZ (Message edited by ezblast on August 26, 2014) |
